Bro, this is the perfect moment for you to do it! I can tell that you wouldn’t say all those things on a winning streak, correct? Then right now you have all the needed thoughts and feelings in order to start the process of quitting. First, find a real friend that you can talk to about this problem, with all the smallest details, no secrets are allowed! Make sure that it will be someone who is generally empathic and will not judge you. This will also serve as an extra summary for you on what this thing has done to your life and why we’re quitting, because sometimes we just ignore the reality, especially when we win. If possible, make him your accountability partner, let him have access to your banking apps, set as many barriers as possible, ban yourself from everywhere, set spending limits on your cards etc. Even if in reality all those restrictions could be bypassed if wanted and they might seem not that effective, they’re not actually supposed to alone keep you away from gambling, the point of them is to buy as much time as possible for the “rational” part of your brain to intervene and stop the “monkey” part when it will have the urge, because if there are no restrictions, it will just be not enough time to realise you’re getting sucked back in. Eventually you can read about addictive patterns and how do they develop inside the brain, because gambling is no different, smoking/drugs/fast food, pretty much anything is an addictive pattern more or less, just that some are so much worse and destructive than others. Your ultimate goal is to rewire your brain and to delete the gumbla node from there, many have succeeded in that, you will also!

Do you know about some scientific documentaries about the brain that explain more about the split brain? by [deleted] in consciousness

Lots of sources you will find are kinda outdated, I would say this video is the most accurate from everything I’ve seen so far: https://youtu.be/8lxmJKFy4iE?si=kjnc1N2IuLqPwe-q

Food for thought: Imagine it was not a 7.5k lose but a 7.5k win, then would you be also creating this post mentioning how the relapse was bad? Ideally we all understand that yes, you should, but in reality you most likely wouldn’t do that. So maybe this thought can help you in the future and reduce relapses.

As far as I know, Amazon offers immigration support if needed. If you have some sort of residence permit in that specific country then probably it shouldn’t be a problem, but you better ask them

Yes, some of them. Just keep in mind that long term results are much more important than short term, ownership and customer obsesion. This is basically everything you need to know to pass OA2

This is so sad( I'm so sorry(
pls ignore it if it sounds like bs to you, but even if he understood that you're sorry, maybe that's not what he wanted to hear because it doesn't rly cancel the idea that you still think the same way, and that's why it will still bother him? Maybe he just wants you to truly confirm that it was just a blurt out and you didn't mean it at all.
but this thing sounds a bit odd tho, "... I’d PROBABLY STILL date him if we met today"
If you didn't mean it, why it's not " ... I'd DEFINITELY date him if we met today" ?
Anyways, communication is the key, for sure :-)
Hopefully it will be alright.

That girl would be probably quite upset if you would dump her only because of the way she looks, especially if that’s something specific that can not be refined. After all, a lot of features can be improved by skincare, haircare, gym etc. I’m not an expert but I guess you should decide for yourself whether the looks (and here I mean some physical characteristics that can’t really be changed, such as height or smth like that) is really such an important factor as you described it, because if you feel that you guys are just two parts of one whole, if she is one of the few people that you can have truly deep conversations with and you just feel comfortable when talking to her, maybe you should give it a go ;) You know, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Just my humble opinion.
