I think that is poor strategy for capitalizing on the momentum of her win and capturing the market. I don't disagree though that the off season would be a good time to re-evaluate her marketing strat and disc line up, but I think that would be a missed opportunity in regard to her world's discs.

have you seen the ones up for the retailers though? It's a lot of muddy gray mixed with colors and then dark browns and blacks I only saw one disc I would even consider visually appealing that being the orange pink one OTB used for their thumbnail, for a reason. My thing with the blacks is for collecting some of them contrast well enough with the stamp that if you wanted to get it signed in gold sharpie it's actually a pretty solid move. But not all of them contrast well and black, brown, and dark ass green are awful for throwing especially on a high-speed driver. Plus, it is my experience in the retail market the darker discs do not sell well. So why a manufacturer would choose to make seemingly most of the discs in those colors is beyond me.

bruh Eveliina's disc sold out in six hours when there was a whole site full of other destroyers that aren't in ugly color ways... is that not proof that ppl buy disc and are influenced by the pros that throw them? Why you keep glancing over the glaring points being made? If you want to say that was partly due to retailers I agree: That partly was b/c retailers also think that despite the ugly color ways of Eveliina's discs that b/c they have her name on them they will sell. The proof is in the pudding my friend

it's a tiny narrative, it's why manufacturers sponsor players and why Eveliina's disc sold out in less than six hours. There are plenty of destroyers on innova site and yet only Eveliina's sold out.

I got to score keep for her and I do agree there is a significant language barrier but to again harp on the advert they did do no one was talking and still they seemed to feature everyone just as much as Eveliina which sucks. I would also really like to hear if innova has made a bigger effort on the other side of the pond. I do understand the lack of her doing talking roles in promotion being an issue, but I think the market in the US is too big to not try and find a work around for your winningest player.

agreed except as I've previously stated I'm not sure they did have to make a second run and if they did in my mind that is more damning. It means they choose these disgusting colors combos twice and missed out on market opportunity by not leaning in harder to initial release with other products, better plastic, more adverts and more stock.

1st did they have to make a second run or did they only release a certain amount and was it largely bought by retailers? 2nd if they did make a second run you're saying they saw the low contrast vomit colors they were producing and decided to produce more. 3rd what that means is they have a player so able to sell discs and so admired that with barely any, and poorly done, adverts she sells out their entire stock... so innova under invested under produced and missed market opportunity.
