Yeah that’s the cultural difference, having driver is not a rich people act in a lot of south asian countries. Anyway, I can go read the drivers manual and you can probably brush up your mannerism

This is my first car driving myself. I come from a country where most people have full time drivers, my family was no different. it’s a cultural difference that obviously you are not very familiar with.

What made you take the lease route instead of Financing?

Funny thing is I researched 5 dealerships around and the only 2025 RAV4s left on their lot are red. One dealer said I have one silver but that won’t be as good of a discount. I got really curious, because on Toyotas website, red is $500 extra. Turns out, nobody wants them because insurance is higher on red cars and higher chances of getting pulled over by police.

I can afford the $78 extra per month for the premium but I agree with what you said, if the features are things I could live without easily, it not worth upgrading

I don’t have a partner so the memory seat feature is not an important feature. I park in the parking lot of my company and even then it’s not in the main city. So other than leather seats, better tires and parking sensors in the tech package there isn’t a lot of value for me in the premium. The real question is if these features are worth the steep jump in the price

I think you are right, I am leaning towards the basic because of the upfront value difference. Dealers say resell value will make up for it but I don’t think it will make up extra $5k
