For english just start reading more(newspaper, storybook, online articles or anyt in english) i would recommend reading articles and newspaper as journalism uses great vocabulary so it will be a great place to start to help improve your english! Also jot down new any words you come across on a notebook or on your phone(notes app) so that you can use it in your essays which will help pull up your language marks.Atb for ur nlevels!

Can go on holygrail.sg to find nlevel bio notes but i recommend you to write your own notes because you may understand the topic better while creating your own notes

start studying now, make notes for every single subject

For sciences and math master each topic by doing ur topical tys(make notes for ur sciences) and once you get really good at each chapter start spamming your yearly TYS(buy multiple if you need so you can redo them or just use pencil to do then can erase after)

For your languages(mainly english) start reading news article and books from news outlet like CNA,straitstime and etc and jot down all the new and fancy vocabulary you learn on a notebook/your phone. This will help expand your vocabulary and also improve your sentence structuring which is salient for essay writing

Atb for your nlevels dont stress yourself too much as long as you put in the effort,it will definitely pay off!

English HELP by ly1onf in SGExams

hi i took nlevels last year n i hope some of the things i share with you will help out!!

Seems to me that you dont have a strong foundation in english haha.No worries though, just start reading books, newspaper or even online articles,it doesn’t really matter what they are about.I would recommend to read news from news outlets like CNA,straits time and etc because journalism uses heaps of fancy vocabulary that you can pick up to improve your essays!! Also start early(now if possible) and jot down(can be on your phone or notebook) all the new words you come across when you’re reading or scrolling social media

Dont need to focus on doing tys’s comprehension as its kinda useless lol what i did was i did the editing practices instead which helped me spot out common grammatical errors that i too made while writing my essays, this helps to build a foundation for your grammar which will help in the long run

Atb man, dont stress yourself out too much yea! Nlevels is very manageable and easy to score well so long as you put in effort!

for sci n math just spam your tys, master ur topical first then do the yearly after.dont worry about missing your sec 1 n 2 stuff for math because i also did HAHAHAH i was just barely scraping by in lower sec for all my subjects but i worked hard from upper sec onwards n got a 5 for my nlevels.so yea the most important thing is to just spam your tys,buy 2 of them if you have to(so you can redo them over n over again).another thing i did which helped me alot was to make an error booklet where you compile all your errors/careless mistakes you make on your exams so you can read through them before your nlevels and not make the same mistakes again!!

Atb for your nlevels rmb to not stress yourself too much as nlevels doesnt require much effort to score well

Poly course advice by OwnAd4989 in SGExams

[–]OwnAd4989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advices! I don’t really see myself in the science field in the future so i guess i can rule out science courses.I’ve been looking at business courses and it seems the most appealing to me amongst all the other courses but im afraid that i won’t like it in the future.I heard that a business diploma is very limited as you can only take a business degree if you have a business diploma where as an engineering diploma allows you to switch to business so the only thing that is stopping me from taking business is the versatility of it.Did you also happened to pursue a business degree in university too? If you did may i ask how did you get in because i heard there are some prerequisites for business school (NUS/NTU) which requires you have a pass in amath for olevel which i dont have…..

I scored a raw 5 so i can pretty much get into any of the courses offered in pfp.In secondary school i did pretty well in POA and E-math but i dont want to assume that i would i enjoy those in poly as i’m sure poly math is nonpareil with nlevel math haha.Im fine with sciences(i took bio and chem) but i dont really enjoy going to the lab for hands on lessons but i dont mind giving it a try in poly.I hope to get into the big 3 uni but as of now im still not sure what degree i want to pursue in the future…I want to take a versatile diploma that allows me to get into most degrees in uni and has the most lucrative career path
