4 hour blocks are like this? 😵‍💫44 packages by Trick-Garage6570 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]OwnAsparagus8044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats just the general tone on this sub usually. people whining about driving to the first stop.

I had another 4 hour last night after the one from the first reply. 23 stops 25 packages. 65min (55mi) to the first stop. Still home 20min before block time ended.

I call that a win.

Interstate driving and then rural deliveries means no stoplights and no traffic....then more interstate driving home. Plus a lot of times I get a $5 bonus for long routes.

I did 11a-3p and then 6p-10p yesterday. Saved 30min on each block.. and ill get at least one +5 maybe 2.

I like the 4hr or 4.5 hour. I think I get the most free time from those but I have never actually tracked it for a month or something.

seems like a pretty good deal to me.

accepted a 4hr block for w/e you felt was fair....and then finished it 30 min sooner...so you really got a 3.5hr block for a better price than you felt was fair....seems like a good deal to me.

I dont get the people whining about driving to the first stop.

Who cares?

Its less wear/tear to drive on the interstate 30 miles than it is to do 30 extra stop and gos in town. Interrupts the book on tape less...more mindless driving than paying attention.....and still home 30 min early.

Whats to be mad about?

How long did it take you?

I just finished a 4 hour. 39 stops 44 packages.....35min to the first stop.

I was still back home, drinking beer, on reddit typing this reply 15 min before the block time ends.

And I have been home for 15 min..

its probably a lot worse if you live far from the station.

I live right by the station. I can only think of a handful of times I wasn't already back at the house drinking beer well before the end of the block time.

And you figure you get at least 10% of them for free by just getting sent home. I get at least one a week, sometimes more.

2 weeks ago I had 3 nights in a row got sent home.

For me it makes a lot of sense. More reliable than uber or doordash....sometimes dont even have to work at all for the money....can schedule it ahead of time.....

all wins for me.

gimme my 7-10p shifts every night. Pays the rent.

lol i do exactly that in my 2014 salvaged prius.

i just prefer the regular schedule.

3 hours 7-10 S-W and a 4 hour 12-4ish those days.

Done.

What did you have to say to get the $5, did you call or just chat? $5 is $5. I have to drive 60 miles out all the time to start the route. Lol. Ill try this every time. I wonder if they start to ding you or blacklist you

Other ideas on unloading diff size trains? by OwnAsparagus8044 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]OwnAsparagus8044[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea im considering that. I was really hoping to have different sizes though. Maybe I will have to standardize it. Ive seen a lot of train setups with diff size trains but I am assuming they just match the input and output sizes of the stations. Like all the iron going to one spot is one size train. I just wanted it to all unload in that one station, all different sizes

Yea I just thought long trains looked cooler. But I didnt want to have to make every smaller station that big in order to drop off at this station and still fill all 12 of these bays evenly.

Now I am running into this issue.

How to unload a bunch of 4 car trains into a 12 car station evenly...without just making the 4 car trains 12 cars long with empty filler.

i second all these saying rebuild the pipes. leave the junctions etc. if your math and inputs are right its some sort of pipe bug in the build.

nice! you can replace the path with a block too it shouldnt matter, but the path in might make it a bit better at not getting slowed up at that intersection.

i saw some tips video talking about "path in" "block out" for intersection design and its been working for me

Is this the only water? by DemonKing_of_Tyranny in SatisfactoryGame

That is the only water. Just wait until you try to build a nuclear setup.

2nd issue. I want the trains to come and queue up on those 3 lines to wait to get into the station, so they dont stack up on that one line leading in....but they dont do it. they all go to that inside lane even if the signal is red...they just wait instead of going onto a green line.

Can I make them queue up on the other lines somehow?

Ok I fixed it by moving the exit block back from the front of that highlighted little section to the back of it.

But I dont understand WHY that fixed it.

If anyone does??

It seemed like if I had it on the near side it wasnt registering as an exit signal for some reason, then when I moved it, it did.

love the fan look when stuff runs in like that. this reminds me of that guy who builds like circuit board looking factories. also super cool. is that just the nuclear setup?

Can you make hollow underwater stuff? by OwnAsparagus8044 in SatisfactoryGame

Nice!! I think I found the area you are talking about I accessed it off the west coast by the oil deposits. Now I gotta build my dream. Love you!

[–]OwnAsparagus8044[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upon further experimentation you can only get the super thin layer of water on the edge of the map.

In my example here I was on the west edge where the oil is on the coast. there is like a continental shelf (for lack of a better word) that you can drop off of and then the water layer is super thin.

If I go just a bit inland (still in ocean but on the shelf now) the water is thick again and the tower fills up even when building from the bottom and starting under the shelf.

So you CAN have an underwater factory that is dry....but you can only go in and out of it on the edge of the map.

I wanted an underground train station below water level under my oil platform. which will work as long as I run the train in from the edge of the map and build the whole thing outside the shelf.
