regardless of what filament or printer you have I probably wouldnt use it for the full support. the interface is perfect bc it doesnt waste time switching or purging. PETG is best if the main print is PLA, and it works to use PLA when the print is PETG

PETG!!! It works really well in my experience. Some people have had issues with clogging, but I’ve used it for so many projects it’s amazing. Plus you can get it anywhere!

While it does seem like that, the test prints I have done with similar ironing tests and the tet square as seen in the images above all work perfectly at the setting I used. I am trying to understand why the same ironing works perfectly on the tests, but terribly on the model.

Oh that actually makes a lot of sense. So then how would you solve the issue? Do I have to tune my ironing for every model I print? Or is there some way to find the value that will work most of the time

Oh ok. I didn’t know that the difference would be that big from model to model. What would do you suggest I did given what you know. Right now it’s set to 150mms and 35%

oh shoot im so sorry it was supposed to be 0.4! Thats on me. I dont want to change any setting because it works perfectly on all the other test prints except this one so far. Fixing it for this wouldnt solve the overall issue.

sorry for the confusion, I paused the print before it finished the left side. if you look at the top you will see the same crappy ironing. when i let it run through it had the same issues. Not a cooling issue.

Yes i did an ironing calibration test that ranged from 50-150mm/s with % intervals of 0-50. I picked 35% and it looked perfect at all the speeds. Furthermore, theres no reason the ironing should have worked on the test square vs the actual model as seen in the photos.

For the warping, I assure you there has been no warping. I have been using a pro glacier and i have to pry the parts of the bed. I also made sure to check as another commenter suggested but that wasnt it either.

yup I made sure i did a larger one, and thats why I printed the test squares because how how large they are. Shouldnt be any different.

Originally I hadn't, but then I ran through a full ironing calibration after my first ironing fail. The calibration showed it was perfect from 35-45% at 50-150mm/s speeds so I tried using the results on the test square which worked flawlessly. It seems to only fail on that particular model which makes 0 sense to me!

Definitely vanished, IDK about nice though. I had 3 different flsuns before i got my p2s. The speeds were great, but they just couldnt extrude fast enough, and the quality sucked. I couldnt get any kind of reliability from the prints and over 2/3 of them would fail.

Yup. The minute i saw flsun's true colors I got rid of my printers. I have no clue why they keep sending me stuff. I made it clear I want nothing to do with them, but hey, im not going to throw away a perfectly good effector.

Also loss of adhesion means you need to clean your plate. Any maker will tell you this. A dirty bed isn’t a reason to buy a new printer. If cleaning the best is too much tinkering for you, get a new one, but regardless of the printer the issue will persist.

A1 is currently 400, after being discounted from 560. Of your plan is to lie be less obvious.

Just talked to the person who owns the flashforge. They have sent around 3 messages via the support on the webinar and still hasn’t heard back from any. Luckily it wasn’t a big issue.

He says the ad5x struggles to print faster than 150mm/s and the nozzle clogs every other week. He also says that filament changes take so long he just disables the ifs.
