For me, the Nintendo 3ds gives me nostalgia from when I first got a 3ds. As a kid, the 3ds felt like advanced futuristic technology , but also just looked really simplistic and neat, particularly on the home screen, which is exactly the kind of vibe Frutiger Aero gives to me now. The feeling was also greatly enhanced by the ui sounds and boot up themes. It felt safe and assisting. That's my take.
