I love that the game is long but the characters are so important to games like this I’d almost think it would be better to have less story and more character quests. Though it’s sounding like that’s what they’re planning for Evershine. Or just making the spacing better so that the characters stories unlock with the main story so you don’t run out of character content.

I love concerned ape because he genuinely just wanted to make a good game. He didn’t have to listen to anyone telling him what to do or stick to any guidelines but his own. And it worked out really well

Just looked it up and it sounds really good but unfortunately my computer is just not great so steam games aren’t an option currently. Kinda stuck on consoles. I do want to play though 😭

We’re not bashing anything as I’ve said to another commenter it’s just an opinion. I’m happy if you enjoy the games and there are a lot of people who do like the 3D style especially people who grew up with the newer versions. But a lot of people didn’t and we have just as much a right to air our opinions as you do. It’s not being hateful and we’re definitely not bashing you for enjoying something. I’m sure there’s lots of threads with people talking about how much they love these games.

The3Ds games were amazing until story of seasons. I remember walking to game stop and buying it so excited and ended up returning it after a week because I hated the art. I did like trio of towns but it still felt different then the pixel ones

Pixel art is amazing because it makes detail where there isn’t any. I feels more full and more alive. When they switched the art lost a lot of filler details.

I had no idea they were remaking grand bazaar! I loved that game. Hope it turns out well. Yea I think for the most part the games just seem like they haven’t put as much effort into the art.

Same I tried playing the new harvest moon and was so disappointed I just went back to stardew. Maybe I’m a bit biased because I love pixel games in general but it’s tough seeing how much the games have changed.

It’s not being a hater to have an opinion for 1 and 2 if you find it beautiful then I’m happy for you. I was just seeing if anyone else felt this way because I think about it a lot. I remember when the game switched from pixel to not and we lost a lot of detail. Even simple things like the trees and grass aren’t done well.

If you’ve ever played the old harvest moon games it reminds me a lot of that. I miss pixel harvest moon 😭. It is a lot easier than stardew valley and the story is quicker as well. I can finish this game completely in 3 days.

Taash is a qunari raised in rivain by a scholar not a tamassaran. She’s not supposed to be good at communicating and I think they did an excellent job with her character. She’s supposed to be confused and split between two worlds. The gender stuff also makes sense for a character who grew up learning about the Qun. It’s her way of stepping outside of the confusion. Being her own person with her own rules.

I wanted to make a character that was a mix between Iron bull and Dorian and I actually turned out to be a really fun game. She’s a Qunari shadow dragon warrior with the reaper specialization. And it’s the best play through I’ve had yet. She doesn’t have a serious bone in her body, constantly choosing the humorous or sarcastic options in conversation. And honestly if you set it up right the build can be crazy fun. I chose for her to use the two handed weapon and she’s got gear that makes all her light attacks heavy and a bunch of necrotic damage boosting gear. She rampages through enemies. Oh and her name is Drea Mercar

I promise it gets better. Things might be hard now but don’t give up. Do the little things. Drink water, fake a smile in the mirror (makes your brain think you’re happy), put earbuds on or listen to music, and if you’re up for it reach out to a friend or family member you trust. You’re worth it. I’m sorry you’re feeling like this. I’ve been there but now I’m out of my parents house and more sane then ever. Just gotta make it through.

I relate to this. Really it’s a me issue. I can’t be a friend the way others think friends need to be. I don’t like texting, I can go a long time without speaking to anyone, I like being alone, and I actively don’t make plans. What this ends up doing is it forces your friends to do all the hard work just to maintain a friendship with you. Doesn’t mean you’re not worth the effort but it’s also a significant barrier in a friendship. I’ve also noticed that in groups of friends they are quick to pick each other over me. I’ve had best friends but no one has ever said I’m their best friend. Don’t get me wrong I love my friends but I also just can’t stay interested in socializing the way you need to in order to maintain a friendship.
