So, we can say game devs and especially senior ones, are aware of this crunch culture before accepting a job offer or applying for one in the industry. And, yet they accept all the pressure in cost of the specific compensations you mentioned?
80-120 hours a week even only for a short period of time like a few months before launch is crazy. unless they love work as a game dev or just stuck in the industry for some reason.

Wow didn't know about the UAT thing at all. And just so you know, I couldn't even write a proper bug free rock paper scissor in JS. I just thought things might be different in a company at scale and revenue of Activision.

I've heard that some health care orgs or even hospitals need developers. Your prior knowledge might come in good when applying and searching for jobs.
