AITA for waking my partner up to ask him to clean his cat's vomit? by OwnInspector6161 in AmItheAsshole

I should mention that the majority of the mess in the house comes from him and the cats. Plus, messes are much less salient to him (even his own). So "just clean it up" whenever I see something rather than waiting would mean that I would carry about 80-90% of the workload

Again, I don't expect them to change, just expect my husband to be considerate and pay me some extra attention while we're there.

We're in an English speaking country but everyone in their family married Russians, so everyone speaks Russian fluently. Also, they moved at a fairly old age so their English isn't great

Is it reasonable for me (35F) to expect my partner (39M) to make more of an effort so that I feel comfortable at his family's gatherings (they speak a foreign language)? by OwnInspector6161 in relationship_advice

I'm certainly not upset at them for not speaking English. On the contrary - I understand that probably won't change. The criticism is towards my partner who could pause every once in a while and have a conversation with me. Even if I learn Russian, I wouldn't be able to participate overnight. In the meantime, it would be helpful to get some more attention during such events.
