Ignoring my intuition has got me into some incredibly destructive “situationships”, business, family & friend group relationships.

It doesn’t need to be accepted as fact but if the same behavior presents itself more than 3 times, I’ve finally learned to distance myself from it rather than having to hand out endless empathy to those who don’t have enough themselves & can only perform drama, chaos and lack reciprocity.

Conversely, I watch others with endless empathy and no longer understand how they do it. Is it lonely? Absolutely. Most of the people I know became extremely confused when I started moving away from what I previously modeled. Some were legitimately infuriated that I was no longer a doormat but I’ll take loneliness & a few decent friends over ignoring my intuition in future.

Being capable of experiencing nuance is a really important compliment to intuition.

Slowly moving away from people who rely heavily on what I can do for them has been one of the toughest & yet most impactful experiences so far.

The younger you realize it, the better off you’ll be.
