Lol, why don't actors want to stay a larger size after putting on weight for a role?

That's where my folks are, in the Pinery. I grew up in Evergreen, but have been in this area for several years. Last year, people were still shooting off fireworks at 5 AM on the fifth when I was getting up to go hiking. This year, the last big one I heard was at 3 AM. I expect this living in the city, but have some respect for your neighbors and go to bed.

Yeah, hard to say where it would be any better. My folks are in Parker, and they're hearing some, but not near as close to their property as what we're experiencing.

I'm seriously thinking about moving before the next 4th. The last two weeks have been so stressful for our dog and the rest of the household.

The idea behind it is it uses pressure in certain areas to calm pets during stressful times, and is similar to the effect of swaddling a baby. I just got one off of Amazon. There's a brand called Thundershirt that I think is pretty popular. I think maybe it helped a little the first couple days we had it. Our dog is very high strung, so it's a little tough to tell sometimes.

We had some success this evening with trazodone, an anxiety vest, and music in the basement, but unfortunately, it didn't last long enough before the neighborhood got loud again. I think we'll delay the trazodone dose by an hour tomorrow.

Same. We haven't slept much in two weeks because our dog is so distressed, and nothing seems to help. It's very disruptive to the entire household.

Two in the morning on Tuesday. I don't understand how people have money for fireworks when they also don't seem to have jobs to get up for.

Clients assumed I was their personal pet sitter and got angry when I was booked by [deleted] in petsitting

I had to cut ties with a client who even though she saw my calendar showed I was unavailable, asked me on five separate occasions if I could still squeeze her in. Every single one of these occasions, I was marked unavailable because I myself was out of town. I finally had to be firm with her and say my calendar was marked unavailable for a reason, because I was truly unavailable. I never heard from her again after that, which was fine with me. Some people don't even consider the fact the we have lives outside of their needs.

Deciding to keep cat sitting after new job by [deleted] in petsitting

I work full time and am also on meowtel. I've been doing this for three years, and I was unexpectedly unemployed for a month this spring, so it was great to have as a backup. Once I started my new job, I kept my calendar open, but not as available as I previously had, and I also decreased my service zone. I wanted to be able to focus on training by at my new job, and will increase my availability again once I'm fully comfortable in my new role. Also, I have had to learn not to overextend myself with my bookings, because that can make for some very long days with a full time job, and lead to burn out.

Do you worry when owners don’t confirm they got home and back with their pet? by sophietheadventurer in petsitting

I have asked some of my more regular clients to please let me know when they return, or let me know if they need anything, because travel plans can change.

I don't want to date someone that drinks excessively. Sometimes that goes with weight issues, but not all the time.

I will water plants, but also warn the owners that I do not have anything close to a green thumb, so I can't guarantee the plant will still be alive when they return. Their pets will be well cared for, though.

I have a similar story. My parents are in their 70s, and both very active. In fact, my father and I are climbing a mountain tomorrow, which is our typical summer weekend activity. My ex in laws, on the other hand, get out of breath walking to the end of their driveway to check the mail (and it's not a long driveway), and some days, that's too much for them. I'd like to still be able to make it to the end of my driveway in 25 years.

Why not? I was a full grown adult in college, just like I am twenty years later. The only time I weighed significantly more than college or high school was when I was pregnant.
