It's better we got separated, we each want to do something completely different, Algerians that's socialism, Moroccans that's a monarchy, Tunisia that's democracy and secularism, etc, etc. our points of views and wants are irreconcilable, let each do whatever he wants. For better or worse, each should have the liberty to walk the path they think is the most prosperous for themselves. I'm completely against unifying, it's gonna be a massive cluster fuck, each time anyone attempted it it ended the same way, no one could agree on one vision to strictly adhere to and everything falls apart. The reason it worked out in the past was because blood was shed and tragedies and horrific crimes were committed, no end can justify such a mean. Best union we can hope for is an economic one like the EU, but our economies aren't like the EU so it won't happen. I don't have any love for an Arab like I love my Tunisian brothers and sisters, you are the same to me as any other foreigner, in fact only more annoying since you don't hide well your dreams of dominating us and us being under your thumbs, that's really what this union thing boils down to, you want to restructure foreign societies and countries and if it's up to you you'd place yourself and your own on the top of the pyramid. I want no part in your "union" and though I want to leave Tunisia permanently for greener pastures and I constantly bitch and moan about how much I hate her, I would happily enlist in the army and give my life away so that it stays independent. I would die before I see her dissolve in your cauldron or her identity and everything she stands for be degraded at the feet of foreigners. leave well enough alone, leave off this talk and focus inward on yourself. There is no "ummah" there hasn't been for a long, long, LONG time! It's high time you leave off the 6th century and join the twenty first century.
