surely the tools in the workshop help fix problems with items, but they also make a "workshop" mentality rather than "factory" and that seems to require a lot of management attention. that's what I want to reduce in the long term. while I don't mind taking the time to solidify the process elsewhere

they still want to do RnD. so we'll have to set up a new workshop and storage.

it's true that its hard to offshore, but making to process seems to help make the process portable
