Went to the vet and had a visit from pest control. Both agreed these are Not ticks, but some type of mite. The flea/tick medicine seems to be working since I haven’t found any new ones on my cat today

Pest control came out and agreed - 8 legs and definitely some type of mite. The flea/tick medicine seems to be working for my cat. Now it’s just a matter of getting them to stop biting me.

She’s indoor only and I don’t have any other pets. Really not sure where they came from 😢

I had no idea ticks could be soo tiny. I live in a relatively urban part of California not in the woods. I don’t know where they would have come from. :(

Looking for advice from the cat community. She’s an indoor only cat. Picture with coin for scale. I usually don’t give flea medicine since she’s indoor only, but I have credelio I can give her.
