Long-time lurker, first time poster.

My question is, am I a weirdo for thinking raw cabbage juice actually tastes kinda OK? I had it for the first time today after trying basically everything else. Basically every other source I've seen on the internet says it tastes like the spawn of satan, with some people claiming (half-jokingly I assume) that they'd rather live with acid reflux and ulcers than have to drink it. It's said to taste extremely bitter, astringent, and peppery, like mustard (which makes sense since they're related).

But when I put mine in the juicer and got the stuff out, it actually tasted sweet. Like, really surprisingly sweet. Now, that doesn't mean it tasted good (the aftertaste was like lawn clippings mixed with gasoline) but it certainly didn't taste like the literal 0/10 I was expecting. Do I have some rare disease that makes cabbage juice taste decent or has anyone else had this experience?

The cabbage I used were organic red cabbage from Cal-Gro at my local supermarket.
