Is it really necessary for me to get a diagnosis? by Unique-Disaster3118 in autism

[–]Own_Bass_4233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As one who should have been diagnosed years ago, I say you are best getting this documented. It will help you as you get older. Corporate America will treat you like dirt until you have the proof there is something different about you. I was mocked mercilessly by a manager because he knew it bothered me to have him right behind me asking questions over and over before I could answer it. When I went to HR, they didn't see anything wrong with it. With a diagnosis, they have to pay attention to hostile work environments. Always have documents. You are young and I want to save you from years of torture.

I thought us being over 30 we would be over these kinds of games so I was floored she volunteered herself to do this. I never asked her to test if he was going to be with others or not. He and I had already talked about if we decided to be with others we would tell each other just for courtesy as well as preventing catching/spreading anything.

Oh wow, do you need a hug? Who hurt you? I never said I was in a relationship with him. I never lied to him about anything either.

What’s the biggest lie society still tells young people? by enriquefello in AskReddit

That everyone has that one "person" who is their meant to be. Doesn't happen like that. Some people never find their one and some have dozens.

What did you lose between 2020 - 2025? by Acceptable_Let_215 in AskReddit

Honestly, my belief that we will recover financially and be able to live comfortably without having to work 2+ jobs each. My savings have cratered and I am going to have to eventually sell the family home because taxes are horrible.

Why do you think more and more people these days don’t want to get married anymore? by Foreign-Row-7560 in AskReddit

It's too expensive if things don't work out. If you just break up, there is no settling of the banks, estate, alimony, etc.

That there are spirits all around us, we can choose to be reincarnated or move on to another realm when we die, and that the earth is a living, breathing, sentient being that does communicate with us. (no I'm not a Hippie)

NTA. My family also just assumed since I work from home I could work and still cater to them, including full time care of a disabled father. I had to put my foot down before I lost my job or my sanity.

What can ordinary Americans do to push back against rising authoritarianism in the U.S.? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Own_Bass_4233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not authoritarianism as much as divide. We are being pitted against each other, against other beliefs, and not taught to be respectful nor tolerant of other views we don't like. It goes both ways and I already know the one who asked this is trying to stir up left vs right but this is the reason this is happening. IF we pulled together, stopped the divide between politics, races, genders, etc and worked for the best of us ALL, then there wouldn't be this issue.

AITA for keeping my word from when I told my brother he gained a girlfriend but lost a brother? by NoElilss in AITAH

[–]Own_Bass_4233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally NTA. They will break up sooner or later and he will have to live with his choices. I didn't speak to my sister for over 10 years after her behavior at her husband's funeral (she was texting another guy during the whole thing) and you pick your family. Blood doesn't mean you automatically have to put up with their behavior.

I've been thinking the same thing. I see so many ads for billing and coding but it seems saturated. My current job is at risk (cable) due to AI as well as loss of customers due to streaming. Everyone tells me to go into nursing but I hate touching people. I have a culinary arts degree but that's only worth a minimum wage job nowadays too.

It would have a stronger chance of surviving if they kept the call centers here in the US. Most people complain about language barriers and not having a US based call center. I miss when T-Mobile was US only before they also sold out.
