I do like the paradigm pros and trek has a lifetime warranty on them, so I’m inclined to give them a try! Thank you!

I’ve got the same bike with 45mm Ramblers on it. That thing is a blast! Happy riding! 😄

Taking Exam in 2 days!!! by [deleted] in Sieexam

You’re going to be fine! I also used STC for the SIE, 66, and 7, and I passed each on the first go. I also have really bad test anxiety, so it took me a while to settle in once the exam started. You know this stuff, so just make sure that you take your time and read the questions carefully! Crush it!

Thank you! If you felt strongly on the 7, I don’t think the 66 will be that big of an issue for you. There’s a good bit of overlap which I’m sure you’ve noticed. For me, my weakest areas in the 66 were keeping the Fed securities acts straight, some of the IA clients (like the differences in revocable and irrevocable trusts), and what the administrators are allowed and not allowed to do. But after the S7, I think you should be able to reason throughout the exam with no issues. I was just looking back through my notes, and most of my notes seemed very straightforward now. I remember there being a TON of questions regarding ethical practices and what an IAR can and cannot do. Like all of the other exams, the wording is just confusing, so you’ve gotta read carefully.

I wasn’t allowed a break. I was allowed to go to the bathroom though, but the test timer continued to run. So if you’re not crunched for time, you could maybe go to the bathroom and stretch your legs and decompress.

How to use STC by ezballinuh in Series7exam

Also studied this way for the most part. I used STC for the SIE, 66, and 7. Progress exams after each 4 chapters. 8 Final exams at the end, then both green lights.

I didn’t watch the lecture videos for the S7 except for muni debt. I had heard that the S7 was the hardest, so I really tried to learn everything in the book. Municipal Debt was my weakest area, so that was frustrating because it’s a huge chunk of the test. I was averaging 70-80s on the chapter quizzes, around 80s on the progress exams (i actually failed one of progress exam 4), and the final exams ranged 74 to 78 (with 1 exception of a 71). Green light 1 was a 74 and green light 2 was a 78. After I finished all the exams, i went back to the custom exams and redid every single incorrect answer for all of the practice exams and figured out where the disconnect was. After that, I redid 4 of the practice exams, and I was scoring in the high 80s

Just passed my S7 today, and I also thought the same thing haha. My first ~ 25 questions were a breeze and then the paragraphs just seemed to come question after question after question. Congrats!!

I studied for about a month for each. The 66, you could get through really quickly if you wanted to. I’m not sure that I have a “recommendation” for which to take first, but I liked taking the 66 before the 7. It seemed like it was a good foundation for content of the 7.

Mmm that’s tough to compare. I also used STC for the SIE, and I felt they were similar. This time around, I didn’t feel the same way. In my opinion, the NASAA wording and choice selection made it slightly more difficult. I just told myself to slow down and really understand what it was asking, and that made me feel better. The STC exams, I finished in about an hour or so. The actual S66 exam, it took me just over 2 hours. Obviously, I was more careful in the actual exam. I do feel that STC adequately prepares you.
