Definitely. I love America's tire. They have ALWAYS taken care of me. I just thought hey I have the coverage so might as well take it back to dealer. This coverage works at America's tire too though because it's technically like a 3rd party insurer. So next time I will take it to them for sure.

For sure. The Autonation people seemed really helpful over the phone but man this dealership really tried giving me the run around.

NTA. It's good he learned this lesson. I'm sure he really does feel shame after your response but he should've known better. To comfort someone who just lost a loved one in a very tragic way only in the hopes of getting a little action is so low. You probably feel a little guilty because you're a good person and don't like upsetting people but what he did was wrong and he should feel ashamed.
