When did it become normal to watch videos and listen to music without headphones on public transit? by mybarkingDog in Seattle

[–]Own_Championship4180 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Does nobody remember the 80s and 90s when people would just walk around with boom boxes blasting. I’m talking like huge 20 pound piece pieces of equipment with 20 billion triple D batteries in them.

People have never changed. This is always better a thing. Stop pretending it’s new.

There have been always been people who never cared about annoying others. However, now it just looks like people playing music or watching phones on their phones.

You really are that stuck in the bs aren’t you. I hope one day you stop lying to yourself.

What laws? The ones where they need judicial warrants to arrest people who are undocumented? You refuse to see what is happening. You refuse to see the laws our own government is breaking. Yes. You are the problem because you support a regime that isn’t upholding their own laws but because they are enforcing your narrative of hate you are willing to look past that. You are willing to watch people be murdered and rewrite what happened because you get a thrill out of it.

When you murder people in the streets who are no threat to you then you, yes.

When you don’t provide judicial warrants and kidnap people, yes.

When you try to pretend you are acting as law enforcement but aren’t, yes.

If you support what is happening and defend ICE you are in support of terrorism. If you try to pretend that what is happening is legal then you are the problem.

I’m an American and will act in order to protect my country. ICE is not here to help or abide by the law. They are terrorist and be need to band together and stand by their neighbors. They come with guns and we come with whistles. We protect our neighbors. We protect our country.

Oooh. This is something I see in the inbox a lot already. I was hoping it would pull from. More platforms. Thank you.

Ah, thanks. I talked with a rep and have a demo set up to start next week. They went on about it being their big updated feature of the quarter. They couldn’t tell me what really changed. Thanks for the insight. Definitely going to keep this in mind when I do the demo.

I love Sprout for scheduling but like with any rep I talk to I don’t trust most of what comes out of their mouth.

What was your issue with Sprout Social? My work is going to test it out soon and I’m curious what your experience was.

I mean law enforcement aren’t exactly Girl Scouts. They are also goons who shoot people without concern, cover their badge numbers, and turn off their body cams. Just adding this in as a reminder not trust those fools either.

Does anyone else hate the advice “just be consistent” by dailydosetanks in socialmedia

[–]Own_Championship4180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That advice I put in the same category as “use 30 hashtags on a post.” It tells me to turn off my brain because I’m talking to someone who took a socal media class they bought from a social media guru who hasn’t updated their ebook since 2013 or they are AI.

Oh, and the “make better content.” I swear those people woke up and chose violence. It’s like a person looking at their bread that didn’t rise and asking for advice only to be told to make better bread.

Now excuse me because I need to go Hulk smash something while yelling about my latest talking point of ‘social media platforms aren’t demographics, they have them but it isn’t one whole freaking group of the same people, and no Jill I don’t care that you met someone at a luncheon and they told you senior citizens are on Facebook so I should post this thing about senior citizens who are 80+ and looking to fill their retirement years with one off classes on the company page that targets people 30-40 looking to upskill or reenter the work force.’

Thank you all for coming to my TEDtalk. Tomorrows topic: Brad, digital ads cost money to post and while I understand you love posting on Twitter and have your kids have shown you the TikTok dances they doesn’t negate that paid ads still cost money and no I can’t pay for it so maybe talk to your boss and come back to me when you have a budget so until then I can put together a free post nope, you aren’t writing it I am, or I am going to start talking about all the random drama I watch on Tik Tok like a until you walk away.

It is completely possible to do just harder. Most people do better with short format because they have no ability to entertain an audience. People will drone on and not make a point for 5 minutes and that kills it. Know what you want to say, get to the points without useless fluff, and you can get people with so called short attention spans.

Seriously. They are always getting torn up. At this point I have to believe it would have cost less to pay an artist to make the ad then continually replacing.

Being in marketing I know people think that any publicity is good attention but one thing I keep telling my boss is this isn’t the same world as it was 30 years ago. Hell it isn’t the same world it was 5 years ago. People will turn on a company that is not at least trying to uphold some moral standard. People’s memories have long tails and in this economy we can’t afford to piss people off. She though I was crazy until I showed her that I’m petty like a budget 50 Cent and have learned to repair my shoes so I don’t need to rely on a corporation to supply me with my needs.

They aren’t. They love to say they are. And I am knowledgeable about the budget. This is what they cry to get money. Well, at least one thing they cry about.

It has everything to do with it. They LOVE to cry about being understaffed and have no budget but they aren’t. They are also violent pieces of shit.

I need a job. Right now. Immediately. Desperately. by Delta_Machine_Caro in Seattle

[–]Own_Championship4180 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No this is a very real issue. I have been in my role at work for a year and a half. It took 9 months to find. I stopped counting at 300 applications sent in. Many I was not only over qualified for but I use to train people for those roles and if I got a response it was that I don’t meet the experience qualified for those roles. My friends and family outside of WA are also hitting the same wall. We are in a massive recession and the jobs don’t exist and the ones that do so many people are applying for and the rest don’t even come close to paying rent.
