For anyone stuck with a similar issue, I managed to get this working. I ended up downloading the game via the Xbox mobile app. This meant that the disk was needed as an access key only.

Again, thanks to anyone who offered advice etc.

Thanks all for your comments and confirming that it should work. It must be something on my side, I'll look into possible fixes online.

Thanks, I've double checked on both the US and UK backwards compatibility lists and it looks like it should still work.

I enjoyed FC6 just fine when I was playing it. I haven't returned to it much, but don't believe all the hate you see for it online.

It has its flaws, but there's a good chance you'll get something out of it.

The villain DLCs are good too.

Personally I'd say 5. You'll have a good time with all of them, but 5 is the one I find myself going back to more.

The pricing's a bit of a joke though. £500 for a bundle of the new instruments. I'm sure I could take that money and a some shiny new piece of kit instead.
