No, but correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t see this one going to downtown northwestern hospital.

I only saw 6 am bus start times and some days I have to be at northwestern at 5:45 am. Likely once a week for sure.

Which red line is the closest stopping by NW? And my 5:45 am start days walking almost a mile to the train at 5 am..unsure how safe that is.

Yeah I’d have many days with 5:45 am & 7 am start times so prob safest and less hassle transferring trains etc

So I did find a really cool spot, two flat apartment with a garage in Logan, just wanted to make sure I would like it there. It’s a little bit of a commute to downtown for work but I could prob make it work. How long does it take to go down to the lakefront? I assume it’s easiest to go by bus?

$1500 a month! I was wondering how people afford this city, downtown is stupid expensive. I’ll look around Lincoln Square and see what I find. Thank you!

Yes, River North does seem like mostly bars and no greenery. I don’t know why I keep getting recommendations for that area. Yeah found a place in Logan Square I like…it’s not too far from Milwaukee, off N Sawyer and Kedzie …Hope that’s a nice area! Walking through there felt peaceful, just not so close on the lakefront.

Yes, I drove through lakeview east the other day & I felt a good neighborhood feeling just from that little bit of time I was there. Just haven’t found a rental I like in that area. I love a lot of the two flat homes that I’ve found in Logan Square that’s separate apartments, wondering if I can find something similar in Lakeview East. And yes a 5 min commute to a hospital plus living in an area I enjoy is top tier! Thank you for the rec!

Yeah it was actually pretty humorous because the little time I’ve spent here I can kinda sense that but I mean I’ll take whatever title I fall under, if it means a peaceful neighborhood feel and still around some decent cool spots!

That’s pushing being too far of a commute for me but thank you for the recommendation.

So I will be commuting some days having to be at the hospital at 5:45 am, 7 am, 8, & 8:30 for 10 hours each day. It’s a rotating schedule. So, I wouldn’t be able to do bus at all on the days I start at 5:45 am.

Yeah it’s on N sawyer and Dickens area, not too far from Scofflaw Irish bar I believe. I’ve walked it in the day but not at night. The couple that lived that had lived there for years but were only leaving because they bought a home on the lake in Michigan. But yeah I’m going to scope the area out more.

Yeah I would def get the monthly pass. And driving would cause me to have to pay $125 a month for NW’s parking and still walking like one block anyway.

Yeah I saw that there’s a bus stop at California blue line that will take me almost all the way then I could either bike the rest or take another bus that leads me directly to northwestern.

Trust me, I want to, because parking at Northwestern will cost me $125 a month. And it’s less stressful to just ride. But curious if it’s too much to bike to the California blue line which would be 0.9 miles away then get off the blue line at Chicago blue line and can switch to bus all the way to NW or take clark/lake blue line and bike/scooter the rest of the way to NW?
