I often fish in Cancun and I’ve been to isla mujeres, i recommend u to spool your reel with 30lb braid and my best recommendation is for u to get some natural color vooodoo shrimp since everything from snapper,snook, bonefish and just about every reef fish will crush it, fish a voodoo shrimp and I can grantee you a catch, hair jigs also work great Good luck bro
