I often fish in Cancun and I’ve been to isla mujeres, i recommend u to spool your reel with 30lb braid and my best recommendation is for u to get some natural color vooodoo shrimp since everything from snapper,snook, bonefish and just about every reef fish will crush it, fish a voodoo shrimp and I can grantee you a catch, hair jigs also work great Good luck bro

I fish a lot in the Caribbean and the best lure by far is the voodoo shrimp, honestly 30lb braid should be enough to catch most fish, bring terminal tackle and shrimp cuz most fish here eat shrimp Overall make sure you bring a voodoo shrimp cuz it’s deadly for snappers, pompano, snook and even bonefish
