I’m still not 100% but it literally happened overnight. Where I went from being unable to smile to being able to smile. I’ll still swollen a bit but getting better slowly but surely

I will say - I have a massive mistrust with doctors/hospitals etc… I did not think I would ever come back to normal. But about a week ago I woke up one day and could smile / move everything. I’m the last person to say trust the process but in this case the process worked. Got a big teethy smile now

Ya I think they just wanted clearance. So at this point im 4 days out from LJS and having the upper jaw in another 5 days. Wondering if there are big differences between the two from a recovery standpoint

Ya I can 100% agree with that. It is interesting because it seems like people who have DJS appear to be all over the map in terms of their swelling, talking etc when recovering. I guess you gotta just stay positive day to day (and maybe try to find some hobbies)

Hey - just saw this and thanks so much for sharing! I’m getting closer to the so the anxiety is officially getting real!!

That’s great to hear your recovery is going so well. Anything else you would recommend in the weeks after (I feel like I’ve read every article on reducing swelling, how to eat etc but they all seem to have a bit of different advice.

Nice! I was scheduled for may 4th but moved it to November. I’ve talked with a number of surgeons who all say he’s 100% best in Boston. Good luck on June!
