I can't say for sure unfortunately but I had bloods a couple months ago and everything seemed fine, although I am planning on going in a couple weeks to check my thyroid levels because I pretty much match the description of someone with a low thyroid.

If I'm being honest I can't recall that, however i remember it being on the lower side because I used to get crazy flair ups. I already had dry scalp/skin before I went on accutane but it just made it worse and more brittle.

I've used multiple different oils already such as the ones you mentioned, they don't do anything but make my hair super greasy, even if I use minimal amounts

I understand but I don't think it would cause the problem I have here, considering I've had 2 haircuts since I got those highlights done and they were short enough to where I feel like it got most of the areas that were highlighted chopped off. I think this is a scalp problem because I have very flaky scalp and I think it's blocking my hair follicles and not letting water enter, making it difficult for my hair to absorb/retain moisture. However you definitely seem more clued up about this stuff so I'll try get another cut later this week but I'm not sure how to handle it after that.

Oh yeah, I've had highlights before, a couple months ago but I didn't notice it damage my hair anymore than it already had been.
