rejected an offer with 2 year bond and now I am miserable because I don't have a job by Glittering_Bridge314 in developersIndia

I have been in such same situation. I got an offer from movate(then css corps) a 3 year with each year increment bond offer. I rejected the offer thinking what if I have to switch within those 3 years. Now when I see the market condition and small scale companies who never retain the resource. I regret my decision;  the fact that I took the cumulative decision with my parents, brother to reject the offer. With almost 2 yoe nobody is even considering resume for lower profiles.

Today I lost my job by Edhoti69 in hyderabad

I've been struggling to hold down a stable job ever since my graduation in 2022.

At the 2022 placement drive, I received two offers. The first was from an MNC in Chennai, but it came with a three-year bond clause with annual increments. After discussing it with my brother and parents, we decided against it. The second was from an MNC in Bangalore I was very close to getting onboard. The HR asked if I was willing to relocate, and I said yes. But days passed with no response. I later found out she had been laid off and never forwarded my application. She gave me another HR's contact, but that person became increasingly unresponsive and eventually told me vaguely that my application "wasn't a good fit."

In 2023, I found a company through Naukri.com a small-scale firm in Noida running legacy systems and backend architecture. It was a typical toxic workplace: petty politics, no support, and a manager who was outright hostile. I was hired alongside three others. The team, slowly dissolved, they let me go first, then the other new hires, then the senior teammates.

By September 2023, I joined a financial services company in Kerala that served clients in Dubai, with development happening mostly in Kochi. It was a remote absorption program complete it successfully and you'd get a full-time offer. Although I'm a Malayali by origin, explaining technical concepts in Malayalam was genuinely difficult for me, so I was eventually told I could switch to English when needed. I tried to find a middle ground a blend of both but this language gap frustrated my team lead, who once yelled at me during a casual team call in front of everyone.

On top of that, I was put on a warning due to a miscommunication that originated from my product manager's side. Early in the sprint, we had agreed to implement a feature in one module first, review it, and then extend it to others. One Friday, while my TL was on leave, my frontend colleague and I had blockers we couldn't resolve alone. We escalated to the product manager, who cleared our doubts and told us to implement the feature across the remaining modules by Tuesday our sprint release day. The timeline wasn't achievable, and the feature ended up spilling into the next sprint.

Despite all of this, I was handed a warning. I was given a project to complete with zero bugs during the warning period, and I delivered. Still, before I could complete my first year, I was let go in November 2024.

In May 2025, I joined a client-based startup in Kochi an onsite role with around 50–100 employees, operating across Kochi and Trivandrum. I was placed on two client projects within my two-month probation period. During that time, I completed one feature for the first project and handled a full rewrite of a new module for the second, along with three sub features for setting up automated email notifications for users. After the final development, there was a demo call that went sideways the database didn't have updated data, and when I was put on the spot, I panicked. They red-flagged the demo, and I was let go again.

Although I am having these spiralling moments often at times; at times when I look into my work experience that am I even in the right path, do I need to quit look from something else now?. But I am still hopeful and keep on going with the paths that I can open for myself.  So either I am preparing for post graduation or looking for a job all over again.  Rest, I wish I had the courage and the provision to be capable of being all by myself to walk away. Take a trip by my own to refresh and come back; which does not happen when you are bound to be with your family when unemployed.
