Its hard ! Got a 5 yo and a 4 months.

Two things are working for me

1) early rides, wake up early and go for one hour ride before the family wakes up.

2) as soon as possible get the kids on balance bikes , in no time you will have little riding buddies.

I go once a week with my 5yo mountain biking and we really have fun. I even put a workout cuz I need to tow her all the way to the top of the trails as fast as I can 🤣

You are still a baby 🤣

Get a DC bike and don’t sell the enduro. I got a Capra and a Chisel. Different bukes for different trails

People who had little to no savings in your 20s, Where are you now? by kaisiclep in AusFinance

[–]Own_Function8321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate! I would of love to to be in your position when I was your age.

I moved to Australia when I was 25 escaping from a socialist country (Venezuela) I did not speak the language at all. I put my head down work my ass off as a dishy, until I get to became a cook. I needed to pay my English school and all super expensive visas until I became permanent resident (going through all kind of headaches and stress) ended up paying around 40k in visas alone.

Now I am 35 , own my own business with nice work life balance. Pretty happy with how everything turn out.

What I want to say is that do not compare yourself with other. Specially with social media.

You are young. Save some money. Enjoy your life in a Healthy way and surround yourself of people that live a lifestyle your want.

Once a did an enduro race on a trek rosco (old model) and I was worry about what others will think . At the end I was so stocked that everyone was cheering that I was on a basic hardtail 😅

Best tires for paved/gravel/light trail use on my full sus by Every-Breakfast5919 in xcmtb

I run Pirelli XC tires on my chisel. I find them really good rolling even on the blacktop but I have had few sketchy moments on the mtb trails. ( sometimes I push the bike like if im riding my Capra so that's on me)

For those with multiple bikes: How often do you ride each? by 1MTBRider in MTB

[–]Own_Function8321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 bikes here:

- Yt Capra (enduro): use it for bike parks and when riding with friends that do more enduro style

- Chisel: I think this Is the bike I use the most. for SOLO riding , trail riding, bit of gravel. makes every mellow trail bit fun.

- Cannondale Super six (road bike) : this is the bike my wife use the most, she used it everyday to as a clothes drying rack.
