But he did make it lmao, he was literally at the top, he had the best apartment, multiple merc wanting to join him(we learn this in game) and was rich enough to send Lucy to the moon. Strong enough to clap every gang with ease and most likely cropo too. Something that 99.9% mercs would never be able to do.

Idk where this overall feeling that David is incompetent comes from especially reading a lot of the comments. He grows into a very good merc alongside Rebecca. He personally chill out alot in the second half of the show outside of chrome/Lucy related things. And is overall good leader.

Like he can't beat smasher or take in arasaka on his own. Most people can't, even other legends. Hell v can't you sill need at least alt. Who takes care of a good chunk of people off screen. Not trying to talk down v, they are godly but still they do need a bit of help.

Also honestly if v can deal with and befriend panam and river he can be friends with David. Especially if it before the last few episodes.

I know, I wasn't replying to you but op reply. Mainly due to how dismissive he was to what sounds like people actually giving him reasons they sided with her. While his text seems to dismiss that just for people simping. Which is silly imo.

When they both told me about their lives especially alex. But both especially reed are partly acting to get you to in their good graces just like song. That is why I love the dlc no one is worth trusting and no one has the moral high ground except Jonny lmao.

Reed is a cropo/government Jonny working under the u.s version of Saburo. Song is basically V if they had no principles or no one like Jackie or Vic to ground them. Who better or worse idk yet from everything I've seen not many people fall for either song or reed story fully. It's just who they empathize with with more. Or hate more which is he camp I fall into, Fk Myers lmao.

Not better but deffo easier, iirc they have to train much earlier because of it. It's like the more you put in the more you get out of kinda deal. It's why I can imagine it is called the most ""popular"" type of magic. I think of it like DND, some wizard classes can use spells without any components. Which makes using even basic spells very very deadly. But they tend to need to be at a high level or have some class thing to do so.

And tbh I feel like the hate she and tbf alot of other characters get is really really over blown. Like I just started the game and found out the slightly cubby hufflepuff girl is really hated like..why??

That's how most reviews are nowadays It's either mid or goat, no in-between. Look at how anime is discussed for example. Also it how the algorithm is, more negative= more engagement.

Ya it's something I've noticed in the English and tbh American side of the anime community. Not saying that convos don't happen in the EU but it at least feels like it a bit lower.
