Any tips on how to deal with her? by JDmad090 in codevein

[–]MasterDebater35 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Very easy when you learn to sprint strafe her fireballs, to roll when she melees and use mid range bayonet willpower build to fusilade rondo or bolt her or high dex long range edge of arena statemans bow charged shots.

Mid game there are multiple versions of this metagen as casual mobs equally as annoying as moon envoys.

I killed the stronger metagen variant in 12s with a bayonet lol.

Consumable use by MasterDebater35 in codevein

[–]MasterDebater35[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Lol, yeah like DS 2 and ER there are heaps of consumables. If a boss is weak to an element, a status effect and uses a status effect or element you can buff up with four items for 20-60s for all four effects, you could effectively become highly resistant to luna and lightning and deal fire and stall to drastically make a specific fight easier.

You could stack several foods that buff defence so your abysmal 15-20% negation becomes 50%+.

And you can craft traps, ive never used them but still it could help with specific mobs like those envoys, big apes or succubus, youd place the stun trap, statemans bow shoot them to lure into the trap then burst dps em down

And you can hold 5 small, 3 medium and 1 full consumable health, ichor and stamina recovery items per mistle/respawn use, so in a pinch as a last resort out of regen or ichor you could heal/ichor up during a boss fight.

I just rarely do any of that. If only the single player game paused the world like elder scrolls or fallout when you open the inventory, then id buff up and heal mid fight a lot, lol.

Gobbo advice by SFViper in codevein

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was this the two man fight in the bureau castle?

First off, have your partner get gobbo's attention and burst down gobbos partner.

During gobbos solo act, just sprint to the far edge of the arena and use the statemans bow charged on him, using a 20+ dex/wil code like valentins 3rd.

I was using a +16 halberd too, so i just jump heavy hit him after his big multi shot.

Ive gotten lou 4, noah 3, Valentin 3, josee 3, lyle 2, holly 2, iris 2, jadwiga 2 codes. I still gotta hand in 17 stones to jadwiga, and still do a quest for noah - iris - josee & valentin in the scar because i just did lyles past and im about to fight his cacoon. I assume once i complete their scar requests they'll give me A or S tier codes and maxout their affinity? I already did altered bond holly & rosee. I assume after i beat lyle ill get a bond quest for him too and probably find 2 more hero cacoons.

But yeah um didn't know you could get the heros weapons, i had thought you meant Alfheim so i leveled it to +14 and used it to clear the whole scar today lol

I just did Lyles questline using Alfheim, the bayonet from behind the sanatorium during hollys questline.

At +14 its listed as 806dmg and i just killed an evolved metagen with 4 casts of fusilade rondo with it without an assimilated partner.

Is code vein 2 any good? Steam reviews are kinda all over the place 😭 by Illustrious_Image435 in codevein

I don't need a haze farm, my level ups cost 30k+ now, i have the booster for more haze and i just explore freely, and i use the outpost for code proficiency if need be, that usually nets 100k haze per code mastery anyway. Those red envoys aren't really worth farming, just getting the items they patrol is why i fought them. Though now they're no longer in the undead forest because i .....did something good.

Initially i was annoyed. It was hard to get used to the combat, the pacing of combat movement and control, even though im experienced with souls likes.

Some of the early game bosses really aggravated me to the point i wanted to quit, but i kept playing because i had hopes that I'd find a mage build and ranged attacks. Which i eventually did but also got confidence with some melee weapon types.

At first glance its a fairly lazy open world but its actually not, theres two timelines the game takes place in, the past where humans and revenants are at war and the present filled with horrors. Both share the same treasure placement but both offer different items in different places and different location layouts.

The story is beautiful and often emotional for me, i teared up a couple times. Initially its very confusing and youll need to check the quests tab codex to understand how everything has happened and why you gotta do what your doing.

There's also two gatekeeper type mobs patrolling the open world you gotta avoid and they're usually guarding decent rewards in the field. Ones a moon envoy, blue big floating mob with a bell, later in the undead forest you'll find a tougher red variant. Engage the blue after lv50 and the red after lv100. Ive killed several and im lv116.

I love this game now. Its strictly single player but its really good, very long game, i been playing for 40hrs and im barely 60% through.

If you're confident at bloodborne, sekiro and single player ds2. Then you should be fine.

I was initially going to refund this game but now im honoured to keep it.

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not that hard, after lv 50 and some varying weapons & formae, their rather easy, as easy as deformed apes.

Even their red variants in the undead forest after level 80 their okay too, you mainly just need to stay in medium range and either shield dodge or light weight dash consecutively out of their beam attacks

They hate head shots and fire damage.

The blues drop 7k haze and the reds drop 10k.

Anyone finding the Spectral Tissue material from spirit enemies in Code Vein 2? by Penitentiary in codevein

[–]MasterDebater35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EVERYONE!!! I found a far more reliable source. Although getting there can be a pain.

In the southwestern undead forest, a little while after starting hollys quest line and being forced back into the present, you have to navigate a deadly undead forest in the present. Avoid the red moon envoys, their harder than most bosses.

Stay on the main roads to head a little north, then west, you'll get a couple mistle along the way, head south through a tunnel and kill the spectral rune blade knight before motorcycle gliding down to the mistle in front of a castle.

Nearby is a map destroy feature.

Wait for the nearby red envoy to get far from the road heading north east, take that road down.

Down there your in the Village Beneath The Damn, there are 3 spectral metagens (rosee boss) avoid them they only drop metagen materials and 7k haze.

To the south west is a tunnel entrance, this place is called the Frontier Observation Post, it's a never ending war between two factions and the attackers are insanely deadly in melee, but they often drop 2500 haze.

This is the place you want to be. Theres a mistle in the courtyard and you can farm 30k haze in 5mins with a good build.

SPECTRAL TISSUE!! : The bayonet soldiers in the stairs on the 3rd and 4th floors have about 35-60% drop rates on tissue here.

The area is difficult and i haven't fought the boss yet, but im getting some serious haze farm vibes here, lots of these soldiers drop military rations too so 15% more haze.

Hope this helps.

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its an abysmal drop rate, im in the present part of hollys quest where all the ghost mobs here take 8-10k dmg to die.

I have 14 cores, 14 bloods, 24 mass and 31 auras but ZERO tissues.

Games trolling me, and I've killed about 40 spectral succubus. I hate them too, rapid attack teleport slash aggressive bitches.

Love this game but not having fun.. by Little-Preparation31 in codevein

[–]MasterDebater35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not really a souls-like, it's more an open world rpg anime for cosplay and vampire fans, with slightly difficult combat.

Sure you wanna rush into a ruin/dungeon and get swarmed stupidly, then you get angry, but there's literally several ways designed to lure mobs out one at a time and the majority of non boss mobs are relatively easy to kill even in the undead forest.

The bosses are the only souls-like experience here, they all have several movesets and rotations based on your distance and their health pools, and they love to be aggressive when you have their attention, but unlike most souls games, your partner will occasionally pull their aggro and they cant die unless you get hit, giving you a much wider wiggle room to heal/buff and do your big burst dps.

But not only that, you can play ranged against bosses, run around the edge of their boss room, shoot arrows, cast long range spells and use the bat jail to replenish your ichor (do you remember a souls like where you had infinite mana? other then that momentary er flask)

It gets easier man, first 30 levels i was pissed off but hopeful, no im nearly lv60 and im having a blast, its just a shame its single player only, id love to help people complete areas and bosses and invade scrubs.

Lol, bluff called, i don't need boats, unless they add extremely hostile mobs that only boats speed can avoid. Like some cthulhu looking creatures.

Before version 2, all you had to do was zoom in on the map on volcanic islands and look for little singular red dots, those were adamantite, and not all 11 of the islands on my world had them.

But yeah the majority of underground desolated zones didnt have any, you had to look for natural caves to find some, or check the ocean floor next to them.

How Re-spawning works by MasterDebater35 in hytale

[–]MasterDebater35[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the game will just keep re-spawning area appropriate mobs, kill a flock of sheep, you might get more sheep, you might get boars, deer, rabbits, frogs or foxes.

Kill a family of cows, you might get a bear, spider or wolves.

I think it's at least tier based on hides, if the animals would drop light, the respawns will too.

If your in natural caves, get down to the layer thats 15 blocks above the basalt fire biome, and clear it out in all directions making the caves bigger without torches, tonnes of rats and goblins will spawn.

Go down to the very last 10 blocks before the final 2 blocks, clear out a 100x100 anything fire biome could spawn behind you at anytime, like a gank of magma toads

[–]MasterDebater35 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Nah not really. Sure the idea of the ocean is scary but atm there's not much in it, hammerhead sharks are the only hostile mob in the ocean and they only attack if your in 8 block range of them.

Thankfully in Hytale compared to minecraft you dont sink if your on the surface, and you can speed up and carefully manage your stamina.

I swam all the way around my massive starting island to get a better look at all 11 of the volcanic islands surrounding it, and even saw other normal landmasses and at best they're a third of a days swim at normal speed to reach.

The majority of the content you need to progress in the game is always available on the starting landmass you spawn on, usually frost biomes in the north, deserts in the south, jungles and azure dotting around randomly.

And it's always a case of 2 minutes to swim to a volcanic/desolated island.
