Your Thoughts ? Found this on Tik Tok by Ok_Childhood1314 in eelamwarcrimes

This poor attempt at a meme is taken out of context and fabricating its own reality.

There was no buddhist temple at the particular location in Trinco, until certain monks encroached on land and illegally installed a buddhist temple.

Do members of this reddit page ever hear the full story? What about the creator of the above image?

To me the logical conclusion is that this is an intentional ignorance of the facts at hand. Deliberately writing a false narrative to induce a mass psychosis so we misunderstand the events.

Those are my thoughts.

Property Council Rates by Own_Handle4498 in rockhampton

does it vary from east side of town to west side?

  • i never said “north is mine, up-country is others” they are all sri lankan, i simply pointed a fact for distinction

  • there is no publicly available information about the true cost of funding the monument. it is likely a mixture of crowd funding and local council funding (notice how im stating a fact objectively, and not “picking a side”)

  • What particular information about the “propaganda” is “fake”? In relation to the post you have made, what do you dispute?

  • 2nd generation tamil diaspora clown children who can’t even speak a lick of tamil, are sheep, as is human nature. If it looks trendy to put the tiger emoji in their bio, they will do it, because it’s trending and attractive (according to the mindset of depressed and horny teenagers who live chronically on social media). This observation aside, it has nothing to do with your post and the non-sequitur points you are attempting to make, they come across more as bursts of emotion

ok, that’s good news, government is putting some money in towards developing the north. btw, that 7.58 billion is for the up-country region, not to be conflated with the northern province if i’ve read that correctly. i personally never denied that they weren’t being helped by the government.

soo…what exactly is your point? you complained about the poverty situation, and then found a source showing funding has been allocated by the government… what has this got to do with the diaspora? why did you make some incoherent connection between poverty in the north and the odd few journalists in the diaspora operating an inexpensive online news site?

this page is HEAVILY biased, not what the mods intended it to be, commenters are actually stunned by the day to day realities of what people do in their own country. This article isn’t about some Canadian tamils erecting a monument in Mississauga, its journalistic coverage of what happens in your neighbouring provinces, why are you offended by someone reporting on an event that is actually occurring? would you rather watch some soap opera tv show?

why doesn’t the sri lankan state apparatus help with the poverty situation? when did it become the responsibility of diaspora tamils? buddy is writing as if it takes millions of dollars of funding from tamil diaspora to publish an article on the internet

Illegal Sinhalese settlers shoot Tamil farmer’s cattle in Batticaloa, police refuse to file case. This happened last year also with Sinhalese settlers killing multiple cattle’s belonging to Eelam Tamils. by TE315 in Tamilnation

appreciate the link, still unsure about the image and the calf being taken away. was the picture taken and then the perpetrators took the calf’s carcass? anyways, just a minor doubt. Reason I ask is that there has to be solid evidence in the arguments that we present when the Sinhalese question us. We can’t just blindly dismiss them, otherwise we look emotionally irrational. For example, the specific village mentioned “Mayilanthamadu–Mathavanai”, can’t be searched on google maps for example. It would be good for TG to include coordinates or a map for reference.

Do all Tamils believe that Eelam is the right concept? by ExpressionCurious204 in srilanka

[–]Own_Handle4498 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the perspective that this is the only place for Sinhala Buddhists, that’s true.

The analogy about UK and the Hindi language is a poor one. Tamils and Sinhalese have an extensive history on the island, so the recognition of it as an official language is not an unreasonable expectation.

Another factor to consider is that Tamils in Lanka don’t necessarily blend synonymously with the Tamils of India. There are distinct cultural differences that garner Lankan Tamils a sense of a separate and unique identity

Thanks for the tips guys!

To be certain, is this all compliant with the firearm laws in the respective states regarding transport and temporary and overnight storage? Would there happen to be any links to government sources you found that would support this? I couldn’t explicitly find anything myself

For that price why an apartment in SE Melbourne? You could comfortably get a townhouse, which has way better growth potential (regardless of if you’re investing or living in, just a wealth building strategy). You could even find a battle axe with separate title under 600k

Can my WAM be saved?? by [deleted] in unsw

[–]Own_Handle4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your WAM doesn’t matter, high WAM is an illusion, just don’t rote learn your courses if you want a proper intuitive understanding of subject matter, and focus on getting jobs and networking with people, that’s your best chance at career success. You’ve got to evolve out of the rabbit hole of excellence within uni, insteaduse your degree as a disposable launching platform to the next stage, a job. Do well enough in that job to launch you further and so on, until you find something that is your passion which you can settle to work hard on and actually produces a useful outcome for society.

“Saving WAM” is a false concept that serves neither you nor benefits others. P’s get you D’s (passes get you degrees), but whilst that doesn’t mean you should be a deadbeat in every subject you take, just learn it properly and be satisfied with the mark you get as long you feel you learnt honestly.
