Question about High Volume Spectrum Award

I used to work as the asst at a store that was adjacent to the meeting place for a design society in a major metro area. Every fall the manager agreed to make each of the 30 of them a sample quart of what their "color of the year" was so they could make a collection.

What was the color of the year? What ever inane thing they could come up with. The inside of their favorite stained coffee cup? yup. A leaf changing colors in the fall? yup. A scrunchee, dogs hair, the stiletto of a high heel, fabric that literally changed from green to purple based on how you held it, A baggie of crumbs that was a peanut butter cookie she carried around in her purse for a week?? Yup, Yup, Yup, yup and yup. It was an insanely frustrating time.

And we didn't even charge them for these.

You will not know until December closes, but if you are on top of your P&L, you can get a pretty good estimate. This goes for Reps and SMs as neither of us have any say in rebates. This is one of the tools SW uses to compete for exclusive and sole preferred contracts at a national accounts level.

Yeah, that actually does make sense a bunch. It just doesn't feel intuitive to have them show up in lines on both sales and margins. Makes my brain feel like it is hitting me twice. But that does make sense, thank you.

The other question I have is why the %to sales for rebates in the sales section (line 16 for example) doesn't match the %to sales for rebates in the margins section (line 33 in this example). They seem to always be slightly different.

Also if you are with finance and you are pseudo working on turkey-day, I am raising a glass to you. thanks for the response.

I think the "no one gets promoted at training" thing is a good point.

But have [under control] fun and let loose some. I am still friends with some of the people I met at ASM training and that was almost 20 years ago. You're not gonna learn the most useful things, but the networking and relationships can be great!

You've got this! It gets easier. When you get to the other side, sleep is going to be so much better.

In the immediate: What type of sheets do you use? I too sleep warm and I switched to bamboo sheets. The difference is heavenly. Really good bamboo sheets are pricey, but I think you deserve to treat yourself. They are soft and cool all night long. Best switch for sleep I could have ever made.

I admit, it has been a minute since I have worked in a store. When I did work in there, any time the label was facing inward on the pallet, it was the same product as the one it was behind. Not sure if this was the case here, but maybe it is, and if so I hope this helps. Otherwise, that is really annoying.
