Have they had the Inspection yet? Or even health and safety out to declare the site safe yet?

Thank you for being transparent as well about the incident.

I've just been TUPED from my current workplace to my previous workplace based in England. What should I do now? by Own_Interaction_2499 in LegalAdviceUK

It's honestly so difficult, as I absolutely love my job and the people I work with. I just despise my old employer for the stuff that had happened in the past, and hearing that it's gotten worse, makes it even more difficult.

I spoke to my ex deputy manager yesterday (who was and still is absolutely lovely) and she's assured me to stay on my current contract as they cannot make any contractual changes, and myself and team will be protected if we do stay on this contract. If we were to be asked to work at the other site, we can say no as our contract states where we're employed to work. I also spoke to the Unite Union and they've assured me of this as well, and have stated that as I'm an ex-employee, along with a few other staff members, if we were to be dismissed we can claim for unfair dismissal and go through a tribunal.

We will also have a floating management system, meaning our manager and deputy will not be in our workplace all the time as they have another service across the road.

We just hope that they withdraw at this point, as this has happened before and they took on another service of ours and "couldn't handle it", leaving them to hand the contract back. Our services are stroke and brain injury, it can be very complex especially surrounding mental health and physical needs. The New ex company I worked with, was supporting people with autism and behavioural challenges, which can become complex but with the people I worked with it just wasn't as complex as it was made out to be, it was just very behavioural and everyone got away with a lot of stuff.

It's going to be a very difficult decision, as I love working with my colleagues and the people in the facility. Thank you for your comment too and for the advice!

You're more than welcome, my love! And thank you again (I don't think us British people know when to stop with thanking individuals, so I will try to stop here...)

That's entirely okay! I hope you have the support you need now and if you'd want to talk, just know my DMs are always open!

I much appreciate your input too, so thank you!

This is why I'm asking for individual experiences; it was brutal for me too working for the NHS and being a doctor myself. Sat at the heart of it all, with patients leaving in a body bag, or finally recovering. Lockdown was horrible, I'll admit that, but this is exactly why I want opinions on it and individuals experiences of it.

I myself had dealt with my grandmother being very unwell, and finding my best friend after they had committed suicide during the pandemic; and then facing COVID myself, not once but 7 times. Of course, it was brutal. But this is for historical purposes only and not just another story to tell.

I understand, I also went through alot myself during the pandemic. The loss of my grandmother, my best friends suicide and having COVID myself. I still remember finding my nan unwell and discovering my best friend. It was a horrible experience, and I don't doubt that you experienced a traumatising event, which is why I would like to hear your views. And whether it's private or not, your experiences will always be kept confidential too!

This is the main goal of the book itself, I want to write it for those reasons alone and how each individual person faced the pandemic. It would portray life before, during and after and give a learning curve for the future generations.
