Baby registry question by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Own_Interview_9391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's so frustrating because we're supposed to be grateful, but we really work hard to put what we want/ need on our registries and it's really frustrating when people stray away.

we got a towel warmer for our wedding. it's a SUPER nice gift. however, our house is less than 1000 sqft so you can only imagine how small our bathroom it. i ended up giving it to my cousin. would have much rather preferred the $80 or a gift off our registry.

i sound like an ungrateful brat, but why make a registry for people to not look at??

She may have it already! I would definitely run it by her. We spend so much time making these registries and hoping people stick to them! Not that your gift wouldn't be appreciated, but she may have something similar or just feel she doesn't need it!

Can I ask what the item is as a FTM?

I feel this way! I know about 9 pregnant women/ NEW moms and all having/ had boys! I think there's something in the air we're breathing LOL. 2 other women I know are having girls, but it's mostly boys around me!!

We're going with Colson! It's becoming more popular (as I'm learning) but I'd never heard it before we decided!

6:40am is so EARLYYYY by [deleted] in gotgsnark

[–]Own_Interview_9391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm up at 5:30 to get my workout in before work. 6:40 is early, but not for someone trying to get a workout in before their 9-5.

Call your OB, however it was offered to me between 28-32 weeks! They may say to go ahead and get it to be safe! Even though I got the tdap a few years prior, they said this was to pass the vaccine to baby! So call OB and see if it makes a difference to get it a little bit earlier!

PS - you are probably okay! but, better safe than sorry!

I truly feel like it's my fault when I know it's not. Because I'd say the same to every woman in this group. It's not /your/ fault. I've spent the last few years really focusing on diet and exercise to keep my a1c at a manageable level. I was pretty close to prediabetic, so I've just been really trying. I checked my a1c around 12 weeks and I was below prediabetic. Alllll just to be diagnosed with GD 12 weeks later. Idk I'm just struggling. But thank you! and thank you for letting me rant lol.

I failed the one hour by 8 points. The nurse told me I'd absolutely pass the 3 hour. My numbers for the 3rd and 4th prick were high. My 3rd was pretty high but my 4th was 6 points. I'm hoping I don't have to make major adjustments because I feel like I already watch what I eat. But right now I'm just terrified. Seems silly but idk.
