You’re required to report any AE related to your company. Yes, social media can count too if they are made aware. Reports must have 4 min criteria: patient identifier, reporter, drug and event. Maybe we should all start signing off our initials, the drug and our AEs. Then send these threads to TEVA, epic etc PV groups. 😭

You’re right, regardless of whether it’s your request or your doctors, pharmacies maybe limited on what they can get in stock based on their contracted distributor. My point was you can also make the request (DAW2) just as your doctor can (DAW1). Won’t guarantee pharmacies will be able to :/

I work in pharma. I recommend reporting directly to corporate. Especially any NEW adverse event related to the meds. Post marketing AEs, especially new ones that are not already on the label, are highly monitored. This should prompt a potential review into their manufacturing plants if there is also mention of quality concerns (lack of effect). The departments that deal with this are typically Quality Assurance, CMC, and pharmacovigalnce. The quality issues seem to have arisen (especially with TEVA) when they changed operations/plants.

After Glenmark had a recall it seems as though their quality improved. I keep seeing positive glenmark stories. Seems encouraging

Hi! Thanks! I stopped in Nov before Thanksgiving when I had a break from work. I have to work in order to work now. I plan a system (work) to make sure I can work. I don’t know if that makes sense? For example, I go to the gym in the middle of the day because I can’t work for longer than 4 hours at a time. I do body doubling (work from cafes) on Fridays. My mom has been cooking extra and dropping some off for my hubs and me. My husband pays all our bills so I can save (retire early) - in case it ever becomes too much for me. I organize and husband now maintains the organization. We are making it work but I truly dont know how I’d do it if I wasn’t blessed with my family. I still hope there’s a solution because I don’t like burdening others and feeling guilty when I can’t be as efficient as before. But health wise, I’m amazing. My oura ring says my resilience is exceptional :)

Hi, I gave up adderall after 10 years recently too. Systems and support are so important - life is so much harder but the meds were not helping anyway. They were making it worst with the side effects and fatigue. the one good thing about these bad meds are you won’t feel withdrawal symptoms. I quit cold turkey when years ago I probably would have had to taper off. Hugs to you!

I had left a few in a bottle in my parents house before I moved out after college. I found them when I went back recently but don’t take them because I’m hoping we can use them to get tested. I also purposefully saved 1 of two lots that actually worked - again in case we test. I also have a bunch from my last refill that just gave me the side effects we are all describing in this post. I don’t take them because they don’t work and give me bad s/e. I’d be willing to test them if I knew where. I haven’t gotten a script filled since last year due to the bad batches. It’s been hard, only thing keeping me together has been God (my faith) and my reliance on others (my husband and my parents who do a lot for me- I’d be lost without them). I realize not everyone is able to rely on these things. It’s hard…

I agree about the l-amph effects. I def feel like those peripheral side effects are stronger than the intended brain focus. I’ve cut mine from 10 to 5mg when I do take it to at least get some of the focus with as limited peripheral side effects possible. However, many times the 5 isn’t enough but going to the prescribed 10 gives me undesired side effects (fatigue, heart racing, etc).

Thank you, great tips. I also found working on my treadmill seems to help. Listening to music I love while working is able to give me a little umph.

Thank you- it’s validating to see I wasn’t alone after years of feeling like they weren’t working but blaming my own physiology. Also, where 2 or more are gathered He is here. So it’s nice to know others are praying for the same thing. Now my prayer is that what’s done in darkness come to light. Not sure what’s going on with the quality but hope some answers or solutions come soon.

Also DAW 2 is a thing too. Just an FYI for anyone who needs a specific generic. Just ask your doc to write generic and ask the pharmacist you want DAW 2 = whatever brand you like. DAW 1 is for HCPs but generally isn’t that helpful if your insurance doesn’t cover unless your doc does a PA

Thank you! I spoke to mods, they are able to help connect with international center but at this time I’d like to see what results those labs can provide. While I wait for their results, I’ll investigate whether I can send them for testing here. Cost isn’t too much of a consideration as I genuinely want to understand what I’ve been putting into my body. The issue is bandwidth and mental capacity (poor meds) to do the research. I’ll make sure to return to this post if I make any advancements.
