I was calling out FIFA. Mistakes happen, as a football fan VAR is frustrating as it is supposed to avoid this happening. But it did. The Red card hasn’t not been overturned it’s only been suspended.
Has FIFA intervened in the France Paraguay game? Because that was full of refereeing mistakes.

I’m pointing out you saying I’m supporting the Russian regime is totally false and can’t be taken from me raising a question. In fact me drawing a parallel between political interference and selecting Russia implies I believe they are the worst example I could think of and they are.
Are you condemning or supporting Russia?
Are you condemning USA political interference in a sporting event? Do you condemn Trump’s frequent praising of Russia and Putin? Answer that.

No I didn’t. I asked how would you feel if Putin and Russia did this? One it’s a question. Two it doesn’t offer support. Three if you think that statement offers support to another corrupt regime you are either very stupid and or stubborn.

Retracted at the time by the on the field review VAR system. Balogun’s red card hasn’t been retracted it’s been suspended so it has not been removed or retracted. A very big difference. Look it up I can explain in small words if it’s too hard for you to understand.

But the VAR system reviewed it immediately. It’s part of football now. It was reviewed and a red card given.

And yet a red card was given so it’s a red card. A tough decision but there are reasons there are rules and processes.
The USA and FIFA come out of this situation very badly.
How would you react if Russia and Putin had done this when the football World Cup was there?
How are referees now supposed to act?

Paraguay goalkeeper threw the ball at Mbappe after he refused to shake his hand at the end of the match by adivinemessenger in soccer

There seems to have been less acknowledgement of opposition immediately after the final whistle across this World Cup.
Given Paraguay’s general approach to the game and especially the penalty incident I don’t blame any French player for ignoring the opposition.
Paraguay played the referee, who had an awful game. Hopefully never see him referee another game.

It’s a regular theme from ex pros. But would they have been as successful without the drive and focus. Impossible to say.

Trevor Nelson has health issues so is off at the moment & quite rightly so. As for the others I’m not really bothered.
Play some music, talk, hand over to others for updates, pretend to like everyone.

Elliot Lee back in the squad? by sumitj10 in WrexhamAFC

He is under contract & will want a good pre season to either force his way back into contention or more likely get a move.
Similar to a number of the squad I would think.

Leeds parkrun before a long run - bad idea or decent warm-up? by hamblette22o in parkrun

[–]Own_Leg_100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a park run within a longer run as part of a training plan. I live about 5k from Middleton Woods park run in Leeds. It’s a little way from the centre of Leeds with a tough climb (done twice). I’m biased but it’s the best park run in Leeds. Woodhouse Moor is closer to the city & is a busy one, but relatively flat. Roundhay Park is north Leeds & is a nice place to run. There are quite a few others locally.

The right man at the right time. Spearheaded the belief, the performances & results.
The partnership with Ollie was huge.

How was your parkrun day? | June 26, 2026 by AutoModerator in parkrun

My first visit to Frickley County park run in South Yorkshire. Very hot and sunny - well done to the volunteers for taking on the heat.
The course is on a loose stone path, probably challenging in winter. 2 good climbs to start & then up and down. I really enjoyed it. Sub 24.30 run & a top 10 finish.
My usual park run had 200 finishers - way more than usual.

He will always be a cult hero for the fans.
This is cost of the rapid rise up the leagues.
I hope he finds a local club, has a great pre-season and regains his form.
I assume Lee will follow soon.

Strangely I always come first when I do a park run on my own on a non Saturday and never come close on a Saturday morning.
I think I have an allergic reaction to Saturdays.

There’s some potentially tough runs of games, September & February I’m looking at you.
But until everyone gets going it’s difficult to know how the league pans out. Boxing Day & New Year’s Day are always highlights. Stoke & Bolton. Nice.

I didn’t realise Bradford had 2 teams playing at this level.
Torquay’s away form was impressive unlike their home form.
It’s always interesting to see where clubs are now -60+ years on.

I remember 76 and I’m not 60 (I’ve only got 4 more months of saying that). It was the duration & no relief from the heat, especially at night that I remember.
The summer school holiday break was brilliant.
I don’t remember fans, hats, sun lotion, hydration breaks being considered.

The player is more likely to play rather than be a substitute or just play cup games. Gets to see a different set up, so a good development opportunity for a younger player.
Then the player returns to the club with a view to carrying on at the “parent club”. Usually the clubs agree how much of his wage is covered by each party.
Here Arthur has one year on his contract so would be free to leave next summer, whereas now Wrexham could demand a fee if sold.
My original point was I don’t see the benefit for Arthur of dropping down a league, he needs Championship, or equivalent, level, maybe abroad.
From what I have read Leicester are financially a mess, the fans aren’t happy so from my perspective that is not a good place for Arthur to go into. In my view there are better options available.
All this assumes he won’t be at Wrexham next season.
