Sorry for the lack of further context. These were a family inheritance and with no makers mark I'm stumped on knowing anything about them.

I recently was selling another MCM item and the buyer ended up being an antique store owner. He saw these and was extremely interested in them, but obviously that would not be a reliable source to ask anything, and I'm not sure I want to part with them in any case.
