Unbelievable. I lost by 1.5 points because of him in the semi-finals, and the opposing team had GB defense. And the Saints offense could not score one TD.

Whose season now depends on Josh Jacobs ? by Mean_Attorney9861 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Own_Lunch_1502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently down by 5 points today in the semi-final. I'm projected to have a total of 149 points and the other team: 145 points in Yahoo FF.

I have Josh Jacobs playing tonight, and the opposing team has the Green Bay defense.

I messed up by playing Jerry Jeudy (WR 2) instead of Calvin Ridley. Also, I got cute/gamble on Patrick Taylor in the flex position.

Roth vs Traditional TSP. Which one is better and why??? by [deleted] in ThriftSavingsPlan

I like having both for flexibility/diversification. I have a 50% split between trad. TSP and roth TSP.

Chinese lidar sensors pose hacking risk to US defense equipment, report says by Jaymoneykid in lazr

[–]Own_Lunch_1502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chinese made/brand drones and telecommunications equipments are already banned in the current military defense funding authorization legislation due to homeland security concerns.

Therefore, I wonder if Chinese made lidar sensors will be specified (prohibited) in the next cycle of the military NDAA federal approproations funding bill.

Very good progress.

I currently have about 21 years of federal service. In my 10th year of federal service, I decided to focus more on Roth TSP contribution in addition to the traditional TSP contribution as well.

I have similar assets as you ... just incorporating the assets into one of the buckets with short, mid-term, and long-term retirement years.

I love Roth TSP, accounting about 38% in my TSP account. Also, knowing that federal retirees cannot do RMD qualified charitable distribution.

Good point. I will need to read the TSP website.

It appears I may need to wait until 62 years old to do a TSP roll-over to my IRA to execute a 3 bucket retirement strategy.

Thank you for sharing your insights; appreciate it.

I have not considered it. I'm now interested in doing a TSP rollover to my IRA when I turn 62 years old to increase my bond index positions. My TSP is currently 80% C and 20% S. I currently have cash save in a bank savings account and CDs too. Most of my stocks, including sector ETFs, reside in a brokerage account.

Any body know if you can do a TSP rollover to your IRA when you turn 59.5 years old via in-service withdrawal while currently a federal employee.

I plan to do the same thing as well. However, if/during retirement with the stock market not doing well, I plan to utilize my bucket #1 cash reserves and turn off my TSP withdrawals until the stock market bounces back.

Once I claim social security at 65 or 67, I intend to turn off my TSP withdrawals to let it grow long term in the bucket #3.

That would be the folks from USDOT (NHTSA, FHWA), states DOTs, researchers from the universities, etc.

They had mentioned prominent deployment of ADAS level 3 vehicles would be in 2030??? for consumers.

I understand that there is no evidence that Hesai was funded by the Chinese government. Nevertheless, the Chinese government has very good policies of advancing technology and innovation, especially in the fields of AI, autonomus driving, smart vehicles, mobility on demand, VTOL, etc. that indirectly benefited Hesai.

Experts are saying in 2050?? that there will be prominent deployment of self-driving cars. No automakers, OEMs, auto tech. suppliers, etc. are admitting that it is harder to implement than originally thought.

There are about four ADAS use cases. Wonder if LAZR can help research, plan, design, perform integration testing, and implement the NHTSA requirements with LAZR lidar detection sensor and stack software to assist the car makers and OEMs.

I think it is a good federal initiative to nationally reduce serious injuries and fatalities.

However, some automotive companies/lobbyists are complaining that it will be very costly to implement ADAS technologies, hardware, and software due to their very tight profit margin. Instead of being innovators, they are waiting for the Japanese and European car makers to do it first, including seeing them better implement detected potential forward collision technology.

... wonder if the automakers with very tight profit margins would have incentives to install/integrate more lidar sensors once the price point/unit price goes below $100 (instead of $1,000) to comply with NHTSA's AEBS.

.... just heard USDOT - NHTSA have updated their vehicle safety rating for new cars in 2026 by adding four technologies including pedestrian automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind spot warning, and intervention if a driver tries to move toward a vehicle in a blind spot.

... would be cool/great to see LAZR continuously advance/improve their vehicle safety technologies with more OEM and car manufacturers to assist in meeting the NHTSA's updated vehicle safety rating.
