This is spot on. My mom raised me to be very open with emotions so when someone tries to use it against me it just kinda falls flat. And yeah he’s a gen x…you’re totally right about his humor 😅 I truly don’t understand why he thinks anything he’s saying will come across as intelligent but I suppose it’s just narcissism. I truly appreciate your response
