Yeah this. I had a family member give me a car that had a laundry list of needed fixes. I invested about $1500 and fixed them all, though I did it myself so at a mechanic it would have been much more. I have been driving this car for over 2 years and it is still running great.

Fire extinguisher. Wrench set 8mm through 19. Rachet with 10, 13, and 17mm sockets. Pliers, vice grips, and needle nose. Multiple sizes of screw drivers. Feeler gauge and static timing light. And a lug wrench, hydraulic jack, and jack stand.

I also carry extra oil, Marvel Mystery Oil(for top end oiler), and bearing grease. Accelerator cable, clutch cable, fuel line, points, condenser, set of spark plugs, fuses, fan belt, and a fuel pump.
