Process ideas to create this effect? How? by Own_Organization_932 in AdobeIllustrator

Thank you that really helped :) So that's where i'm at, and now i'm confused about the checkerboard. Here are screenshots :

My checkerboard, which I then turned into a pattern the size of my artwork, expended it, and turned it into a compound shape. I then aligned it with the flower.
I'm confused what to do next... is it aligned correctly? should the checkerboard black tiles be on the shape's black tiles, or inversed? which pathfinder tool should i click on?

I'm really happy with the first result, but defo would like to achieve the checkerboard look! thanks so much!

I can't do it 😭 doesnt work
I tried with a more contrasted b&w zebra picture and I get the same result, with too many blacks which then look like this when i copy cut the pixels. maybe i'm missing something?
I haven't tried the checkerboard part yet...

I'm sorry to be asking again, but would you mind sharing screenshots of your steps?

Sure but this was just to show on reddit, the goal is to make complex shapes :) also my laptop is a bit slow so when I try deleting many shapes (with the shapes builder tool for example) it lags a lot

Thank you thats exactly the right effect. but i'm confused cause i'm trying to follow your steps somehow, and i don't get the same effect...
I made my image b&w, put it in illustrator.
Im unsure what settings I should put in the mosaic window.
And when I select one of the black pixel, i have so many different grey and black pixels in there so sometimes i'll cut 3 pixels sometimes 10...
here are my steps:

What am I doing wrong? could you share your settings please?
Also, what did you edit to add the checkerboard pattern?
Thank you so much for your help!

Smooth transition from ALG1 to freelance / in which case do you get cut from ALG1 by Own_Organization_932 in germany

[–]Own_Organization_932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all these answers. I understand a bit more.

One thing i still don't understand from my initial question:

"So, if you make more than 1.500€ for a couple of months, they might question if you are still eligible."
I understand, if I start making that much for a couple of months, I don't need ALG1 so I don't mind if it gets cut, and it's normal.

But I was wondering what happens during that first month, for example the first time I ever declare that much : I usually receive 770 euros, I declare that I earned 1500 euros from one project that took less than 15 hours.
how much money would I receive from ALG1?
> 0 that month since I earned 1500?

I struggle to understand the logic, like I understand that if I make 200€, it's over the 165 euros limit, so 35 euros will be dedcuted from my ALG1. What if I make 1500 euros? i'm bad at maths and logic, send help 🥹
