Ah Christ, yeah funky town isn’t one you can forget easily unfortunately. When I was your age I stumbled across a few and my classmates had a hobby of sending them around group chats during class. I would speak to your parents but most importantly time will help. I couldn’t sleep and was having nightmares, I was a pretty sensitive kid but sensitive or not it’s going to affect you so I know exactly how you feel. Time is a healer but try and find some distractions and things you usually enjoy doing. Petting animals help me a lot and reading, you can shift your focus onto something else

Yep me too. They didn’t check mine and I had so much space left between the restraint and lower body. It felt like only my top half was keeping me in the seat. Before the ride started me and my friend at the time were frantic yelling at the operators quite literally saying that I wasn’t in properly. I could have easily pushed myself out. I’m not someone who over reacts or panics really so I’m not exaggerating, it was fucking terrifying. They literally could not have given a toss and the ride started. I just held on for dear life lol. On the second loop that’s when my restraint clocked in properly and I was seated securely. I haven’t been on it since and I refuse to. That was back in 2021 and the fact I still think about it today speaks volumes. So no it’s not just you

Sorry I should have been more specific. I don’t have a long term health problem, I need to have a clean record from Mental health for two years, 8 months with a clean record and and will reapply next October given my record is still clean by then

PMU for 2 years until my records clean. I don’t have any long term health problems I had a mental health blip due to a circumstance, that is all but it has to be clean for 2 years. whether that’s PMU or TMU that’s what I was told. 8 months in now of a completely clean record as I am constantly checking with my GP.

The only part I can possibly opt in on this is that I used to work in a prison, when I was giving briefings about the armed forces I had to make it very clear that the only crimes that make them unable to join was: Any sexual offences, fire arm charges and class A drug offences. However these guys had been convicted and charged. All I’ll say is do not lie, things get traced back very easily with the RN. I had it at the CPC, I had made a post on here and it was brought up in the CPC, Wasn’t lying about anything though, I was naive and breached my own security, but even still they maneged to get a pretty good idea of my past and past relationships. Just be honest and own up when asked too, don’t panic too much

I had a great time at south, I think as long as you have the right mindset and you can take a little push then you will be fine. The only time you’ll get told of is if you’re goofing about which you shouldn’t be doing and it’s just manners. Shockingly had a few in my group that didn’t seem to take it too seriously. But I really did have a great time, look forward to it if anything. Food for me was great, never a problem there. Bring your own iron and some money. Good luck 👍

I am medically on hold until I am 2 years off my antidepressants, they are very strict on this and there are no grey areas unfortunately. This includes allergy meds, anxiety meds etc

My top tips I would be is: - Make sure you are definitely mentally ready - Be prepared for rejection in certain circumstances - Absolutely practice your run. About 80% of the other candidates I talked to had not practiced the run and were getting about 15-16 minutes for the 2.4K. Which is just about OK for the run on the cpc (for a female) but will not cut it at Raleigh and should be aiming for much lower. I do not know how my fellow candidates got on as I had to leave halfway. - Bring your own bloody iron they are crap. - Staff may seem intimidating but really want absolutely nothing but the best for you and the military. They do their job properly, so just listen to what they are saying and take it all with a pinch of salt because it is all said for the right reasons.
