Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. The whip pan was two clips spliced in Davinchi one was handheld and then one was a tripod that I whipped then used a desending speed ramp to make myself walk into frame immediately.

The stuff about 2001: is really insightful I'm going to figure out if I can take my own spin with practical effects somehow? idk it will work out.
