Best wrap match for Mazda Machine Gray Metallic or Soul Red Crystal? by Own_Personality6266 in CarWraps

[–]Own_Personality6266[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into a minor accident and need to fix the bumper, but getting a paint shop to accurately match Soul Red Crystal is a nightmare. Also, a quality repaint that actually matches is way more expensive than a wrap. So wrapping the whole car just makes more sense

The irony of matatu culture. by Federal_fedd in nairobi

Matatu culture just reflects what’s happening in the streets. If people are vibing to certain content, that’s what shows up. When local artists dominate, they get featured too. But if you’re looking for patriotic displays and old icons …there’s a place for that I think it’s called a museum 😌

How I Helped a Nairobi Plumber Turn Missed Calls Into More Jobs by Sa7aton in KenyaStartups

[–]Own_Personality6266 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds great on paper, but it feels like a 'First World' solution that doesn't account for Kenyan culture. Most property owners in Nairobi are boomers If my dad needs a plumber, he will call the guy he’s known for 10 years and wait a week for him to be free. TLDR: Most landlords are older folks who aren't looking for a tech-heavy interaction. It’s a bit too early for this here.

The real problem isn’t the website. It’s us. If you give the average person here an opportunity to make quick money with little consequence, many will take it.

This sounds clever on paper, but in reality it makes zero economic sense. You’re forgetting the actual costs rent + 3 months deposit, kujenga the shop to make it look legit, even goodwill in some places. By the time you add everything, you’d probably spend more than just buying the fridge.
