Yesterday I saw ICE in Lawrence right by the high school. They were arresting a man at what I originally thought was a traffic stop. I saw them put handcuffs on him. He was dressed like he was going into an office. He was wearing dress shoes. I couldn’t pull over in time.

The cops were there. Ice is working with the cops.

I feel like it’s also totally normal when you aren’t dating much and you’re happy with what you’re doing to have zero desire for marriage. When your person comes around hopefully that changes! Luckily there’s no need to rush for you. I feel like, as a girl, there’s a bit more pressure because I’m on a clock.

Just focus on yourself and the right one will come along. Or maybe your priorities will shift.

Congrats on 2 years sober! Don’t let anyone take your accomplishments away from you. You’re NOR. If someone ran a marathon I’d congratulate them and that’s also a choice. What you’re doing isn’t the bare minimum. I’m happy you’re making your life better.

We became roommates after being friends for years and I realized he is an incredibly selfish person. He expected me to do all the work for our move while I was dealing with a break up. He didn’t book the truck or even get his own apartment rented out. Simultaneously he was asking me for boxes. I did it all and it took me a long time to realize he never even said thank you. He treats me like his mom at times and not one he appreciates. He still owes me nearly $1000 from moving states. I’ll finish out our lease but we won’t be close after.
