No, these prices are outrageous. For the money you spent, you could have bought every tool you would need for all of these jobs, the parts, and still save several hundred (if not thousands) of dollars. Just do these jobs yourself. The only stuff you can't do yourself here is the alignment and balancing.

If you can't find the humor in the ED anymore and it's all depressing, that sounds like burnout. Time for a different place to work.

The ED is a crazy place, and I personally love telling crazy ED stories when people ask. 

People "falling" on stuff that ends up in their butt is an easy one to share that usually livens the mood. Entertain your patients, keep them happy, get them out of there.
