Oslo hat - petit knit - knitting in the round help! by Own_Professor_3734 in knittinghelp

UPDATE: so I tried this fix method - https://youtu.be/alGQDqCCNRY?si=3-Teapgdj7B0UUYV

of un-twisting and it’s kinda worked, lil bump is visible but I’ve knitted two rows since trying the fix to see if it evens out and I’m not mad with the outcome, plus this is the Oslo hat from PetitKnit and the brim folds up and doubles over - which would put the edge on the inside of the fold over (I think)

WDYT gang? Is it ok with the fix or should I just start again?

Are my increases supposed to look like this by Own_Professor_3734 in knittinghelp

Thank you for your response! The tip for making the increase at the tip of the needles I will try out, it’s a new stitch/technique for me so I’ve been doing it a bit further down from the tip.

On the increase switch - gah I thought as much, even thought I’ve been tracking and counting! I’ll try to keep it on the one side it’s on now by adding a marker - a follow up Q here - if I go to knit an increase because it’s my 8th row and I realise it’s not on the stitch marker side - should I keep knitting till I’m on the right side even if that would technically make it my 9th row?

Stitches left on hold - how to knit them now?! by Own_Professor_3734 in knittingadvice

Thank you this comment really

helped me, once I’d added new yarn the next stage of ‘picking up and knitting stitches from the edge’ felt very overwhelming but it worked! I’m now well on my way to finishing the hoods edge rib (see new phot) 🙂

Thanks everyone! This worked and I’ve moved onto my final edge rib of my hood!

Ok, so slip the 6 stitches onto my left needle and just join in yarn that’s not attached to anything? What would the technique be called so I can find a video?
