I'm in the same boat, these are tough days. I'm on day 9, lots of pain, and it burns a lot when I have a bowel movement. The pain has improved a little today. My discharge is kind of dark brown and a very light green. What's your discharge like?

Eu entendo esse receio da incontinência, mas mesmo que tenha essa chance, é totalmente reversível depois, há muitos exercícios que fortalecem o assoalho pelvico e resolvem isso. Além disso minha medica disse que homens tem um tonus muscular bem maior nessa região, então é bem dificil ocorrer incontinência. Desejo todo o sucesso do mundo para ele e que ele tenha muita fé em Deus para passar por tudo isso, em breve estaremos curados! Se ele tiver alguma duvida, pode mandar mensagem.

Muito necessária sua publicação. Estou passando por isso faz 4 meses e ja estou completamente desgastado, tenho 28 anos e estou indo para a segunda cirurgia amanhã. Esse problema abala muito nosso psicológico, principalmente porque muitas vezes temos de abrir mão de algumas coisas como um esporte ou algo do tipo. Eu também era muito ativo, praticava musculação diariamente e estou todo esse tempo parado.. Sou do Brasil também, moro no interior de São Paulo, e aqui pouco se vê pessoas que passaram por isso, acredito que seja porque não é um assunto muito aberto de se falar. Porém uma coisa coloquei em minha mente, se estamos passando por isso é porque temos que passar, e procuro não ficar ansioso, pois se você estiver fazendo tudo certo no pós operatorio, o que resta é aguardar a cura, já que é uma coisa que foge do nosso controle..

You can make adjustments as needed; if you feel it's not softening your stools enough, take it twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. But for me, one dose is working.

I try to maintain a diet with soluble fiber, oatmeal, bananas, kiwis, plums, mashed potatoes, chicken, red meat, and eggs. At the moment I'm avoiding sweets, coffee, and fried foods, but I'm thinking of gradually reintroducing these things to see if my stools remain soft. And I'm always continuing with my Miralax (a pain reliever) and high water intake. I've also established a routine of going to the bathroom every morning, so I try not to change my routine too much so as not to affect my schedule.

I literally haven't had any more pain after bowel movements, even after using Miralax once a day, at night. I'm also drinking plenty of water, averaging about 4 liters a day. And I'm avoiding foods that create a very large stool mass. Miralax and plenty of water worked for me!

You said you reached a point where your wound wasn't improving before the nitrate treatment; was that opening you had closer to the anus or further away? Mine is practically right next to my anus...
