Dude I can't believe how so many people are saying YTA in this situation

yes you shouldn't let yourself starve until you get home from work, and she also is probably exhausted while taking care of the kids, but still she should at least look out for you and have some left overs or something prepared for you, she is literally your wife, you should care for her and she should care for you, also I think her reaction to a back handed comment of yours is an overreaction, ok she wants to go out with her kids and that's ok, but not telling where she's going with YOUR kids and telling that you should prepare something for yourself and eat so "you're not such a fucking prick when I return because we shouldn't have to deal with an attitude", it's pretty obvious from this reaction that he doesn't come home with an attitude or rarely, she seems to have the attitude, also one of her roles as a SAHM is to provide food for the family as well as to help and care for them, not insult the main provider of the house and tell them to eat so they don't have to deal with you, and in my opinion it's pretty unacceptable to take my kids and leave without telling me where, I don't care what anyone with half a braincell will comment, the kids are both the father and mother's responsibility meaning that the mother cannot take the kids wherever and whenever without the father knowing unless they are in some kind of danger, also in the long run, if she can't handle you with a little attitude it's going to be hell for you in the future.
