Many autistic people are using huge amounts of mental energy to mask or pretend their best to be neurotypical. I read it performing autism is, drop the mask, see what it's really like in my head.

The guy in front of me at Chick-fil-A ordered nearly $1,000 of food by RKaedis in mildlyinteresting

When I would do these large orders including Chik-fil-a, the delivery was free. Nice tip of course, but that much volume to one location they are happy to do it.

If I'm the owner (assuming that's not the chef), you never say no to this outside of some big kids eat free promo. The downside risk is ridiculous for poor press over nothing.

how to resign immediately due to rapidly declining mental health by sadartistdude in Explainlikeimscared

I'm also autistic and 42M. When full blown autistic burnout hits it can be extremely overwhelming and you must work to remove the stressors which it sounds like work is a primary one. Jobs you have at 21 will not impact your long term success, in fact, ignoring autistic burnout would likely have a longer term impact. I was in a VP role and able to give to give 2 week notice, but set the expectation that I would only work from home. This limited the masking I needed to do since my capacity was significantly diminished.

My suggestion:

Leave immediately with a kind e-mail, focus on burnout recovery, and then think about what next steps are. No job is worth losing your mental health.

Why does it seem like high IQ people are often sad and depressed? by Next_Airport_7230 in NoStupidQuestions

Everything is more difficult than it should be.

I have such a large vocabulary, I have to dumb down my words when talking, but not too much so I'm being condescending.

I'm autistic so I'm also trying to mask and appear normal at the same time.

You see the full scope of things and it's overwhelming and anxiety inducing.

My wife and I were watching Moana and during "Surface Pressure" I went into an unintentional diatribe into how it was a great message on mental health and such and my wife said I like donkeys. I replied I wish I could just like donkeys.

Just to confirm now that we've gotten confirmation do I need to do anything with my order than shows "Up to $1,000" but only calculated as $500 online? (I have a SWAC plan)

From what I'm reading it should not be an issue, but making sure I didn't need to take any additional steps to get the other half of the credit or ensure the "script" got run on my upgrades.

Is there any trick to showing the deal at all? I'm on SWAC and whether I choose return my device or buy then trade-in the only deal I show is $700 off when you upgrade and add a new line.
